She is a General

Mrs. Chu closed her mouth with a blue handkerchief and cough slightly. Her son immendiately placed the bowl on the table and stroked her back to soothed the cough in worry.

"I told you to take a rest, but you still have to work in the kitchen." Censured Fei Yang in soft tone.

"Mother is okay. We still have to cook lunch later." Said Mrs. Chu. She knew her son couldn't make anything consumable. She didn't want him to suffer by eating random food.

"Aunty, if you don't mind. Let me cook for the lunch. I still can make some simple dish. You can rest assure." Yu Yue got up from the bed and started to make up the bed.

"But…"

"It's okay aunty… I haven't do anything to thank Chu Fei Yang's help. At least let me pay for my accomodation while stay here." Said Yu Yue cuting Mrs. Chu objection.

"Good! Good! You can stay as long as you want…"

Yu Yue smiled gratefully at the old lady. She smirked at Fei Yang in challenge posture after Mrs. Chu turned around. His mother had agree to let her stay, what could the son do to stop her?

Fei Yang who dissatisfied of his mother decision was throwing a sharp look at Yu Yue. He needed to kicked this lady out of their house as soon as possible.

Mrs. Chu turned around and told Yu Yue to have breakfast before she left her room. FeiYang was looking at the young woman before walked out and closed the door. He afraid the noble lady like her would despise their simple meal. But what could he do? Their family situation didn't allow him to honor the guest.

Yu Yue smiled sadly at the closed door. She took the porridge and drank it without any complain. She used to having simple meal while in the middle of the war. It was lucky enough to have two meals on time when the situation was bad. They often went hunting and roast the game to fulfill their stomache. Han Yue would pick some wild vegetable and fruit and cooked them in simple way. So, she wasn't being wronged by eating bland porridge.

Yes. War. Her real identity was the infamous woman general who lead the succesive war two years ago. She was Han Yue.

The Han was a military family since their empire's founding 300 years ago. They held a high authority in the imperial court. Even the imperial family needed to pay attention to their speech while talking with the Han.

However, Han father didn't know why their family started to decline ten years ago. The main bloodline only had a seedling. That was her. It made her working harder to learn war tactic and be a martial art master. All was okay until her father death on a battlefield with northern empire.

Han Yue took over the token and lead their army to set defense on the border. She didn't have much love for the Empire to protect it, she just wanted to have her revenge for father Han. Her father was the only family she had because the others were killed or left the family.

The war was her worst experience. They lacked of food and a lot of soldiers dead cause by the cold. She learned more about her family and used her brain to attack Northern Empire. Eventhough there were some casualities, their enemy took a big hit that impact their economy. The emperror was being forced to withdraw his force and sign a peace treaty. He even sent a prince who tried to seduce her.

"Tsk. The nerve!"

Since then, a lot of assasins came knocked at her door. She was unlucky to encounter a dead man that succeed in poisoning her. The Taiyi (imperial doctor) saved her in time, but the damaged had been done. She lost her spiritual energy.

That's why, Han Yue had to hide her identity. Nevertheless she ended up in an outskirt village, she told Feiyang a white lie to be safe.

After finishing the porridge, Han Yue went to the back house and cleaned the bowl. She felt okay. Her body always in a good condition. Fever wouldn't affect her too much.

"What are you doing?"

Han Yue or now she should be called Yu Yue turned around and saw FeiYang came out from a room. She thought that was Mrs. Chu bedroom.

"I am washing the dishes, duh!"

The young woman intrigued FeiYang. He followed her and watched her move while washing the bowl.

"So, you really can do the core?" Asked the man.

"At least I can do this much."

"You are bizzare. Are you really a noble girl?"

Yu Yue twitched her mouth when hearing his comment. No one dared to call her a name. Moreover questioned her lineage.

"You look fake."

Yu Yue lost her composure at his remark. She turned around and put her arm in front of her chest.

"Listen, do you have any problem with me? Or are you born mean?"

"I just want to ask you. You look noble but you move in familiar way with the housework. I don't want your presence endangering my family." Explained the man.

"Tsk. Don't worry, your family will safe and sound. Maybe I am a noble family young lady. But it doesn't mean my family treat me as one. I learn this kind of thing in my early years."

Technically, Yu Yue didn't tell him any lie. Unlike noble lady in commoner's eyes who would spend her time in party and being raised carefully, she grew up in a harsh environment. She lived in military household and being raised strictly. She learned to take care of herself while in the army.

"I see. So it won't be problem to make you work hard while staying in this house. You need to earn your keep anyway." Commented FeiYang in light tone.

Yu Yue just rolled her eyes and turned around to finished her work.

"We just have potatoes and wild vegetables. Feel free to cook them for lunch. You don't need to prepare my part."

"Why don't you have lunch?"
