Vodca

Black-clothed men landed at the Black Rose Gang’s mansion silently. The leader gestured them to move before he walks forward.

The leader look left and right before pushing the door in front of them slowly.

He and the other two members crept inside the room. Their hands were holding the handle of the swords and guns on their waist.

They look around the empty room cautiously.

“Okay. I’ll contact you again when something came up.”

The black-clothed man immediately hides behind the wall beside the door leading to the study.

A few minutes after, the door creaked open.

Dylan steps out of the door and barely escaped the swords slashed at him. He ducked just in time and raised his foot to kick the blades away.

He stood back up and retreated to his study room before grabbing the swords on the table.

He pointed the swords on the three black-clothed men in front of him when someone hit him hard on the head.

Dylan’s body went numb, and his vision went blank. Meanwhile, Caleb, Brett, Jake and Lexy undergo the same situations.

“Retreat!”

In an instant, the black-clothed men disappeared into thin air carrying the four persons away with them.

It was too late when the guards on patrol saw the open door and the mess inside the room.

“Vodca, it’s done. The plan went smoothly.”

“Good. Make sure the rest of the plan also went as we’ve planned!”

“Yes, Vodca!”

The black-clothed men immediately dispersed to carry out the rest of the plan.

Vale leaned on the balcony and gazed at the dark stary night.

Hmph! This is just the beginning! There will be more to come!

Vale clenched her fists tightly as an evil glint flashed on her eyes.

“Vodca,”

Vale released her balled hand when footsteps approached her.

“Kenzie, Nancy, Mitchell and Blake have been taken care of.”

“Good.” Vale nodded.

Cassie steps back, ready to leave when she remembers something, “About Jenny...”

Vale shakes her head, “Don’t touch her.”

Cassie nodded before leaving the balcony.

Her phone on the table rang. She glanced at the caller’s identity and grabbed the phone before pressing the answer button.

“Vodca, I’ve got Kayden. Requesting permission to move to phase two!”

“Permission granted.” she ends the call.

‘Eric Grey, Sherry River, Lint River, I’m wondering how you would solve this matter!’

‘As for Keith Grey...’

A sinister smile appeared on her face.

‘Don’t blame me for doing this! I will never forget the humiliation you gave me!’

Her gaze turns cold when she remembers his words.

“Do you know what I hate the most?”

“A liar. Two face bitch.”

“Sherry is better than you,”

“What are you sitting there for? Sign the damn paper and get out of my house!”

“Explanation? Forget it. The photos are enough as an explanation.”

“Do you think I would take a betrayer under my wings? Absolutely no. There’s no way to know what you’re plotting inside your head. Or...”

“...I could make you disappear. Forever.”

“Sherry and I will get married in two months.”

“You want a two-faced bitch?! I’ll give you one!” Vale swept the cutlery on the table with her hand.

The glass and plate landed on the floor with a loud crash. The food on it was scattered all over the floor.

Vale breathed in and out harshly. A thick vein appeared on her forehead, and her eyes turned red from the grief and anger she's feeling.

“Vale! You...are you okay? What happened?” Jenny walks over to her in a fast-paced.

She looked around in panic and calmed down after seeing no one other than Vale on the balcony.

Frowning, she sat beside her on the table and saw Vale’s clenched hands and her red eyes.

“Vale?” Jenny trembles when she saw the coldness and brutality in her eyes.

Subconsciously, she pinched her thigh to stop her from fleeing the scene.

Vale closed her eyes and counted in her head to calm herself down.

She opened her eyes and looked at Jenny’s pale face, “Sorry about that. Did I startle you?”

Jenny shook her head, “N-no!”

Vale sighed, “Do you have anything to help me sleep? I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately.”

Jenny got up, “I’ll go and make a calming soup for you.”

“Mn. Sorry to trouble you.” Vale nodded.

“You don’t look good. Don’t stay outside for too long. You’ll get a cold, and it’s not good for the baby either.” Jenny said before she walks out of the balcony.

Vale looked at the broken pieces of glass and plate on the floor.

‘Ah, forget it. I’ll clean it up tomorrow.’

She walked inside her room and glanced at the door, which is connecting her bedroom and Keith’s.

She walks forward and push the door open just in time and saw Jenny helping him sat up on the bed.

‘He’s awake...’

Jenny and Keith looked at her direction, stunned.

“Vale?” Keith blinked.

Is he dreaming? Why would Vale suddenly appear here?

“You’re awake,” Vale stated.

“I...why am I here? Where’s Dylan and the rest?” Keith looked at Jenny.

“They’re at the base. This is Vale’s home. You fainted after self-starving yourself for six months. You kept saying that you want to see here and the guys decided to bring you here. You woke up after she took care of you.” Jenny said as she checked Keith’s vital at the same time.

“You still need to rest for a few more days and eat nutritious food before you can walk out of bed,” she said before turning around and leaving the room.

The atmosphere went tensed after she left.

“You took care of me?” Keith finally asked.

Vale didn’t answer him and only stared at him coldly before turning around to her room.

“Wait!” Keith immediately went anxious when she ignored him.

He stepped out of bed and ran after her. Only to get the door closed in front of his face.

Groaning, he went back to sit on the bed.

A few minutes after, Jenny walks in again, carrying a bowl of porridge.

“Jenny, has something happen at the base recently?” Keith asked out of the blue.

Jenny smiled, “Dylan and the rest have been managing the gang when you were gone. There’s no problem at all.” she put the bowl on the nightstand.

Keith nodded, “Then, what about my parent, did they know about this?”

“No. Dylan said you wouldn’t want them to know.”

Keith’s mouth curled up.

However, when he remembered Vale’s cold stare, he immediately grew anxious.

“Jenny, tell me. How much does she hate me?”

Jenny froze. She remembered the scene at the balcony just now.

She looked at Keith, “This...” she wiped her sweaty hands on her dress pants.

“Tell me.”

“I’m afraid this is not my place to tell you.” Jenny shakes her head.

“Jenny, please!” Keith grabbed her wrist as he looked at her pleadingly.

Jenny sighed, “Alright. But let me warn you. You’ve kicked her out of the gang and your house. I don’t know much about what had happened. But, I’m also a woman, and I know how it felt when the person you love doesn’t have any faith in you at all.”

Keith felt silent as he listened to every word with a heavy heart.

“Then, what do you think I should do?” he mumbled.

Jenny looked at him in amusement, “Since when did I become your psychiatrist?”

Keith glared at her.

“Fine. First, plead forgiveness from her. Second, console her. Third, make it up for her. Remember, she’s always right.”

Keith nodded with a serious face.
