Vale woke up with a nauseous feeling.

She pushes the blanket aside in a hurry and strode towards the bathroom before vomiting.

A few minutes after, she presses the flash button before leaning on the wall, panting slightly.

She tried to remember every food that she’ve eaten yesterday and realize that she had eaten the leftover fried rice.

But why is she vomiting?

If she had eaten anything bad, then, she’s supposed to have a stomachache.

Forget it. Maybe it’s just a common side effect for eating leftover rice.

She decided to wash up and went out to do her usual business.

However, this phenomenon happens to her again for the next few days. Sometimes, she would rush to the toilet just for smelling sweats or someone’s perfume.

She also realized that she had been craving many kinds of foods recently.

Her heart sped up when a thought appeared in her mind.

Is she pregnant?

Her face paled.

To confirm her thoughts, she rushed out of her home and drive to the nearby pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test.

Her face blushed red when the shopkeeper keeps staring at her.

She dashed out after handing her the money.

She arrived home in a short time and rushed to her toilets.

After a few minutes, she went out holding three sets of pregnancy tests in her hands.

After she broke up with Keith, she decided to stay in her parents home. Much to her parent’s liking.

She put the tests on the nightstand, waiting for the results to come out as she paced back and forth.

The timer went off, scaring the shits out of her. She took a large intake of breath before looking down the tests.

She froze.

She sat on her bed with an ashen look on her face.

She’s pregnant.

And the father is Keith.

She’s going to be a mother at 23!

Her nerves shoot out in panicked.

Her heart palpitated.

She’s not ready.

What should she do?

Should Keith know about this?

What would her parents think?

Recalling what had happened, her face sunken.

Why would Keith care?

He had kicked her out of the house, after making love to her.

Tears trickled down her face.

A knock rang out at the door.

Vale wiped the tears on her eyes and went up to open the door. Not before throwing the pregnancy tests inside the rubbish bin.

It was Sophia and Noes.

“Yes?” she smiled softly.

“Uh...we need to clean the room.” Noes answered.

“There’s...no need.”

However, they insisted.

So, she only requested them to take out the rubbish.

Vale knows Mason is just trying to bully Sophia. She knows if Sophia didn’t clean her room, Mason would scold her.

Except for their parent’s room, Sophia would clean Peter, Mason, Vale and Anne’s room.

She could not let Mason bully Sophia.

After all, she’s going to be her sister-in-law. She’s sure of it.

She waited for them outside guiltily. She didn’t mind anyone else cleaning her room.

Except for Sophia.

Her future sister in law.

Sophia and Neos went out after taking the rubbish out.

Sophia gave her a meaningful look before leaving.

She thanked them and waved off the weird stare she got from Sophia.

Tomorrow, she will go to the hospital to confirm her pregnancy.

The hospital confirmed it.

Sophia went to serve Mason an afternoon tea in his study. She put the glass down on his desk and hesitated.

Mason was looking down on his laptop, typing away.

Mason looked up when he saw her still standing in front of the desk.

She took out the three pregnancy tests she got from Vale’s room and put it on his desk slowly.

Mason stared at the objects on his desk like a fool.

“What is this?”

Sophia blinked.

Doesn’t he know what a pregnancy test looks like?

“It’s a pregnancy test.”

Mason looked at the three white sticks in front of him.

He frowned, “Why are you giving me this? How does it work?”

Sophia subconsciously pursed her lips.

A womanizer who doesn’t know what a pregnancy test looks like.

Hah! What a rare sight!

“This is a tool to check if a woman is pregnant. If it shows two lines, that means the woman is pregnant. If it shows one line, the woman isn’t pregnant.”

Mason looked at the three tests in front and saw that each of it has double lines.

Mason froze.

Does that mean Maggie is pregnant?

Is he going to be a father?

He looks up at her for a second before staring at her stomach.

Sophia stands uncomfortably when she felt the burning stare he’s giving on her stomach.

He stared at it for a long time before he finally speaks.

“Are you saying that you’re pregnant?”

Sophia was startled by the question.

She recalled the burning look he gave to her stomach just now and finally understood that he had mistaken that she was pregnant.

Sophia shakes her head, “It’s not mine. I found this pregnancy tests on Vale’s empty rubbish bin.”

Noes had gone to check on the other area of the room that needed cleaning while she had gone to Vale’s bedroom and saw the pregnancy sticks inside her dustbin.

Mason’s enthusiasm deflated like a ball.

He gave Sophia a stern look, “Get out!”

Sophia went out, aggrieved.

However, when she recalled the look on his face when she shows him the pregnancy test, she shuddered.

Did he want to have a baby with her?

Is that why he had given her a disappointed look just now?

Impossible.

Slapping her face, she walks downstairs to do her chores.

However, her mind wandered about it for a long time.

After all, she had taken a pill, and they didn’t use protection either.

What if she got pregnant then?

How is she going to face his family?

“Argh!”

Maggie slammed the mop on the floor fiercely.

Who would want to give birth to that womanizer?

Humph!

This won’t do.

She has to think of a way to escape from his clutches!
