Shawn glanced around, his lips pressed into a thin line, clearly showing his impatience.
"I'm alright. I only need to be left alone for now."
"But…" The cold glare from Shawn forced his mouth to close instantly.
"You can go and rest, Master Shawn. I will ensure that no one disturbs you," he hurriedly said the moment Shawn moved his gaze from him.
"Is my mother at home?"
"She left almost at the same time that you left this morning and she hasn't been back," Mr Wallace answered.
"I overheard her say over the phone that she will be meeting up with some friends at the spa later in the day."
"She probably might be there by this time."
Assuming Shawn needed help to get to his room, he generously offered, "Do you need me to assist you inside?"
The coldness emanating from the young master made him instantly realize he had asked the wrong question.
"I'm sorry sir," he mumbled and quietly watched as Shawn walked away.
