The Forgotten Elder God (Dropped)

Before I start, this book will be in be in 1st person past by default, it's easier to write in, and just looks cleaner most of the time rather than present tense. Also, this character is fucking absurdly OP basically from the start, so don't expect much less.

My name is Valerian Maara, I was an above average, recently graduated college student, admittedly more handsome than average, with reddish brown hair and amber eyes, and extremely smart, but nothing more than that. I was an abnormally calm person in almost any situation, and more or less went with the flow of what happened around me.

I found myself in a dark space, I can't see anything, and it's warm, but that's it. I don't know how long I've been sitting here, but I stopped bothering tracking the time after the first few hours. Instead, I tried to remember how I got here.

(Flashback)

I woke up like any other day, doing my morning workout routine, then taking a shower. Looking at the time, I saw it was 7:45, and I had an interview with American Commerce, which is a country wide service that delivers pretty much anything you can think of after ordering it online. (Yes its fucking Amazon.)

The meeting was at 8:30, so I had plenty of time, I got dressed in a nice button up and set a suit jacket on my door handle and threw some underwear on and went to cook myself some breakfast. After eating, I grabbed my jacket and put it on and sat down at my desk, making sure everything is clean and neat in the background for the interview, after all, first impressions are extremely important.

Looking at the clock, I realized I still had ten minutes left before his interview, so I decided to browse around on the web, looking at new anime that are coming out soon. Suddenly, a pop up appeared in the middle of my screen. I figured it was just an ad, so I tried closing it, which didn't work. Deciding to actually take a look at it since I still had time, I realized it was a survey. (Cliche, I know.) Shrugging my shoulders, I didn't think much of it and clicked the button that said, "Start Survey!"

{If you could choose any world to reincarnate into, what would it be?} This was the first question, though my answer was pretty immediate. I had already dreamt of this multiple times, so I quickly put my answer, {Highschool DxD}

{If you had four wishes, what would they be?} This one took me a little more time, though not much, looking at the clock, I realized I only had three minutes before the Interview, so I decided to hurry up with my answers, and just pick the ones I knew I would most likely pick if I could.

{1. My race to be Half Outer-God from Lovecraftian Mythos.

2. Milim's Energy Breeder Reactor that works with any type of energy.

3. That my soul and body both have infinite potential and can contain all my power without being harmed.

4. A system that will help control my powers and organize them, that has an AI to help. }

'Yeah, that works.' I had thought to myself while clicking the next button.

{ If you could pick a time period to be born in, when and where would you be born? }

'Hmm, if I had to pick, I'd say around the same time as Grayfia Lucifuge, and in a family with a close relation to her's. I always did have a thing for her...' Thinking this, rather quickly, I put it down as well. Clicking the next button, one last question appeared, though this one was very confusing.

{ If you died right now and reincarnated with everything from your previous answers, would you?}

I laughed, thinking, 'Yeah right, this isn't some wish fulfilment web novel, like that's going to happen. Ehh whatever, I'm almost done and my interview starts soon.

Lazily, I typed, { Yes } and clicked, the submit survey button. Closing the window, which now successfully closed, I look at the time and see it's 8:29, one minute shy of my meeting. Sitting up straight, I wait for the call to come, which it does as soon as the clock hits 8:30. I move my mouse to click the accept button, and all of my vision goes black.

'Welp, that's how I got here, this should probably be affecting me way more than it is. Honestly though, I can't bring myself to care, I was an orphan ever since my parents died in a car crash when I just started high school, I was in between girlfriends, and never left my house to meet any actual friends. I really had no connection to anyone... Fuck I'm getting really tired all of a sudden...'

I fell asleep in whatever space I was in for an uncertain amount of time, only to be abruptly awoken by a sudden pushing feeling. Though I wasn't sure, I had a decent idea of what was happening. I could vaguely make out muffled voices, though it was way too hard to hear what they were saying. Deciding it was best to stay still, and let whatever happened, happen, and I did just that.

After another hour or two of pushing, I felt my head get very cold all of a sudden, followed by an abrupt light when the darkness receded. Due to the sudden coldness and light, my body reacted on instinct, and I went to curse, but all the came out was a wailing, "Waah."

'Yep, I figured this is what happened. I was reincarnated, and just experienced being birthed again, though I don't remember the first time.' What I wasn't expecting to happen, was that as soon as I got pulled out, everyone in the room was forced to the ground, and space, and even reality was disintegrating around me due to the amount of power that was gushing out of my body, with the exception of the woman lying on the bed, and the little girl beside her, which the power seemed to stop itself from harming the two. This only lasted for a millisecond before it was completely stopped and everything that was disintegrated was brought back into reality.

I heard a mechanical voice in my head speak up, { Aura is leaking due to host not being able to control their power...attempting to suppress...suppression successful...limiting skill output temporarily until host can properly control their power...successful...repairing damage done by aura leakage...successful...system will be unavailable until host has enough control of their powers...}

'Woah, I'm glad I decided to get a system and AI to help otherwise there's a good chance I would've destroyed reality from my birth alone, much less until the point where I could control my aura.' With my Aura reined in, everyone was able to stand, I also just noticed that I was floating in the air, still naked, but I didn't fall to the ground. The doctors had all been included in the disintegration and were so pale they couldn't move.

I also felt a force under me holding me up, and I could tell, I'm not sure how, but mostly instinct, that the power was coming from who I could tell was my mother. My mother is an extremely beautiful woman, with a busty figure, orangish hair and amber eyes. I was busy staring at her, mostly because I easily recognized who she looked like, but I heard the doctor speak up in a shaky tone as he lightly wrapped me in a blanket, "Congratulations on your son's birth Lady Maara, I'm sure he will do our house proud." This confused me since my mother looked like the spitting image of Kouko Kaga from "Golden Time", just with amber eyes.

He then proceeded to hand me to my mother, who was sitting up in the bed now with a radiant smile on her face, she beckoned the doctor to give me to her, to which he obliged. "Your name will be Valerian, Valerian Maara. Come here Kouko, say hello to your little brother." Now it was time for me to look at the little girl, who is an adorable thing with Orangish hair like my mother, but Hazel eyes instead of amber. I quickly realized that she was actually Kouko Kaga, but with a different last name, and obviously she was also a devil.

The little girl walked over and sat next to our mother, she smiled brightly seeing me, gently planting a kiss on my bald head, and pulling away quickly, making sure she didn't hurt me. Rather quickly, most likely due to releasing so much power, I felt my eyelids getting heavy, and I drifted off to sleep.
