Chapter 27: Blacked Out

I woke up to my head pounding, severely. I’m on my bed, but still wearing the same clothes I had on from last night. Then I realized I don’t remember even coming back home. What even happened?

I slowly stood up and started stretching my arms. I’m still exhausted and sore from whatever happened last night. The only memory I had was right before I had taken my first shot of alcohol. Everything else is just a blur.

I suddenly could hear my kitchen sink running. My body immediately woke up and became alert. Someone is inside my apartment. But who? My guess is that Vienna probably crashed here, instead of driving drunk.

I had no idea about what I should do next.

After a few minutes, the sink water had stopped. It went completely silent. I then heard a few footsteps. But still no sound, to pick out if it was Vienna or not.

The footsteps became heavier and were coming in my direction.

I crept down and went underneath my bed.
