Chapter 3 Coronation

Time flew very fast as streams of people entered the palace halls wearing attires of either military or civil, however the atmosphere was different from usual celebratory atmosphere as some looked gloomy while the group of officials where full of smiles as if reaching the pick of their lives, among these one could see a group of officials who remained calm and collected like they just came to make their presence known,then provocative voice was heard to almost everyone

" Oh isn't this the great generals house,aya why don't I see the old man here could it be that his own daughters ascension is not important at all." Then the man pretended to be awkward as if coming to realization of his words he had just said.

" oops slip of a tongue I forgot your miss is not at all hardworking towards the emperor enough what a waste, what a waste. "

A middle aged man wearing a red official attire walked over to another group of officials his face full of smiles and his eyes where full of unmasked arrogance and distain.

Though the man was middle aged he still maintained his appearance of those in mid twenties most of all he was a civil official with high rank.

" Prime minister is full of jokes, however this official just wonder if the heart is sincere,otherwise if those tricks come to light,I hope the prime minister can come and laugh with this lowly official." A general official wearing a black attire said sarcastically

"Bold and reckless do you dare repeat what you just said "

" Why is prime minister is so angry" the man chuckled clearly not taking the warning looks coming from the prime minister and those looking offended.

" if your consciousness is clear why feel guilty or could it be that it has been eaten by the dogs "

" You...." Then prime minister was about to retaliate but held back and thought in his mind ' just wait and see how I deal with you '

" Can't argue with uncouth men, humph "

Suddenly several announcements came from the doors as the coronation was getting near.

" Her majesty empress dowager has arrived"

" His highness the prince has arrived"

" The royal consort has arrived "

" The ambassador of Babylonian has arrived"

" The ambassador of Syrian has arrived "

" The ambassador of Turkic has arrived "

Then the chief eunuch hurriedly stood at door side and announced in higher pitched voice.

" His Majesty the Emperor has arrived."

" Long live your majesty "

" Rise " Ladon sat on the throne calmly and looked at everyone before him,at this point only he knew that inside he was a little nervous inside, after all this is a real world filled with danger everywhere, especially royal blood disputes in royal families, though his confident in himself, those around him it's another story but he was sure to rule in his own way.

Ladon gaze traveled to the women behind the curtain he briefly passed his gaze and stopped at on particular place for few seconds,he knew who was sitting there, according to his memory it should be his other wife who loved and protected him in the shadows,how painful it may be for her to watch the person she has in her heart to be with someone else, but this foolish king never understood this.

Changing everything which was supposed to happen in the usual plot of the story,Ladon promised to keep those dear to him close and then dispose of those with ill motives.

While Ladon scrutinizing the people below, they where also some sneaky figures scrutinizing him as well,they could not help but feel that the king looked different today but not sure how.

The prime minister flowned some how unease feeling was gripping his heart.

" Begin the ceremony" Ladon said to the chief eunuch.

" Yes your majesty "

The prime minister felt more and more that something was not going according to the plan, not only him some who also paid attention to the emperors habit felt off.

The chief eunuch gaze become Sharp as he he scanned the people before he began reading the edict.

" His Majesty degrees, he his impressed with the support, sacrifice and willingness brought by his life companion,who not only brought him comfort and peace of mind and soul but also courage... "

As Jessica was sitting behind the curtain and calmly hearing those compliments and praises though her heart was in anguish her composure was expressionless, she was not delusional to think that her and the that person will be together.

Lost in her thoughts she didn't hear her name being called, until a second call came.

" Princess Jessica Hemsworth please receive the degree "

Jessica heard her name clearly this time as the eunuch proclaimed loudly this time in addition their was a pin drop silence in the hall, eventually the one been called realized that it was her name being called.

Ladon thought maybe she was in doubt or it's a plank to fool her so he did something unexpected which almost blinded everyone on site making their jaw drop,he got up from his seat and went towards Jessica seat, instead of extending his hand to help her up he lifted her in the princess style in his arms and walked towards the throne.
