Chapter 28 - Couple Dance

Once the door leading the hall is open, it feel like entering a sparkling world. They didn't announce the name once someone entering the banquet since its in school program where they regard equality. The one unusual about the Lunatracia's academy is just there are also demihuman, They are mostly a transfer student from neighborhood kingdom like Noir that come from Elven Union, they have their own circle and special dormitory.

Shasha look at the scene in wonder, her daily life is consist of attending class and magic training and something like banquet is beyound her capacity, especially her previous like she is just a average high school student.

The building coating in gold, ceiling painted in night constellation with silver gold magic candlelair hanging, also the classical instrument playing in the background where other guess dressed beautifully like a blooming flower.

Then she look at her white plain dress and look at Evan behind her.

'I didn't get any compliment'

She think sullenly.

'Well, in the event she only got a dress if the crown prince is interested in her.'

The starry night sky, her soft pink hair and simple white dress fluttering along the wind dancing like a little fairy running after doing mischief dragging him away.

'Pretty'

If time would stop, he would like to paint it and store it in his precious memory.

Her small hand that holding his large arm feel like soft cotton touch that strangly could drag him away opening the door to the banquet.

Her daring expression, her eyes that started to spark like fairy dust looking at the banquet hall fade away once she look at him, startled him.

Before he could ask, her soft touch is gone that make him freeze. Sadly the one awoke him is not her melodious voice but a hoarse calling him name and some other that unknowing trapped him. This guys who keep talking, trying to get close to him to have connection somehow become more annoying than usual.

Evan's eyes keep wandering tailing on her small figure. looking a far, her figure more resemble fairy who dancing in every place a sweet desert placed, muncing them with her delicate lip. Somehow he gulped, feel thirsty.

'Now that I think about it, except me, crown prince, Noir and recently Lizzy. she rarely interact with other student even if thay are same gender.'

Shasha looked at how her partner got tekan away by bunce of man. Those man have big build and more intimindating aura rather that usual student, so she could guess they are aiming to be knight and tried to get on Evan's good side. It is feel strange, Shasha divert her gaze away before she dirtied her mind.

At the moment, the door in the second floor connected to the high stair opened. It was the door that so splendid that only royal would open and as expected, The banquet hall is quiet once Its illuminated by the blonde couple wearing light blue matching suit and dress entering.

The man, Crown prince Allen step forward first offerring the Lady his hand, and the Lady gracefully accept his escort like it should have to be, the banquet is cheering when it is happened.

They walk down the stair with the change of music, the melodious romantic tone and their out of the world apperance blesses the banquet. Even once they down the stair the crowd of people didn't dare to distrub them, they open a path leading to the center of the banquet hall.

The crown prince bow that earn exclamation and the Lady who calmly lift her skirt, accepting his offer. Interwinted hand and the body that grow closer, the firm hand that touch her slim waist and who the Lady bashfully hold his shoulder.

and once again the music change and other people slowly invited their own partner to dance, leaving the center of the hall to the main couple, while Shasha standing still watching all of these like wall flower*.

Sadly, the crowd surrounded Evan didn't show any sign of dwindling.

'Hufh...'

Just in time, Evan saw a boy with yellowish blonde and tan skin getting close to Shasha, without a though Evan step forward and said

"I have appointment, the excuse me" to the people who block his way.

Evan took a large stride toward Shasha, this time he feel gratefull for his long leg as he arrived earlier before that boy.

"Miss Shasha, May I have a dance with you?"

Her surprised face that bloom as smile look adorable, she took his hand.

"I may not good at dancing, but please take care of me."

Evan kiss her palm, and lead her to the middle of the hall, leaving that tan boy pissed.

"I Though you won't looking for me." tease Shasha.

"Sorry..." Evan become embarrassed "Is the cake delicious? If you like it, next time I Will buy it for you."

Shasha let out a small laugh.

"So you had been looking at me all this time?"

"Ah...sorry."

"Don't be sorry, I don't like to keep hearing sorry from someone I like. Me too... I had been watching you and I am glad you are the same."

Evan step paused, he tried to processing the her words.

"You... like me?"

they looked at each other for long time with each of them feel like the time stopped.

They didn't realize that their figure who stopped in the dance hall become the limelight especially after the second song and crown prince end his dance.

Allen and Lizzy look at their figure from afar, they can easily recognize Evan's large build and Shasha's short pink hair who look like a monster and fairy.

Evan who the first realize being stared by the whole people finally found his courage. his hand that holding her waist move to her shoulder, make a strong turn, while his other hand support her knee, holding her in princess carry.

Shasha let out a soft Scream, then their eyes met for a moment before she buried her head in his large chest and her delicate hand wrapping his neck.

Holding his thrist without minding other people, Evan walk with powerfull step while other people subconsciously give a way in the quiet hall.

He head out to the closer terrace, pull the string that close the curtair leaving their embracing shadow in the other view.

The spectator finnaly let out a breath. Even Allen and Lizzy included.

"Did our spotlight just stolen?"

"Um..."
