Chapter 15

My tour was amazing, seeing fresh places and conversing with my fellow people was a lot of fun, but seeing those Pegasus was the best. Their huge wings were so beautiful and they looked so majesty. I rode one who had bright white wings. Her mane was so beautiful up close and she was swift on air. But the tour had to end so we could back home and prepare for dinner.

"How was your tour?" Victoria asked. 

"It was amazing." I grinned. "I had a lot of fun today." 

"Did Richard show you pegasus?" she inquired. 

"Yeah. I even rode it." I said. 

"Did you enjoy it?" she asked. 

"Hell yeah! The one I rode was super swift." I said, brushing the part of my hair that covered my eye. 

"You look, beautiful Princess." Victoria complemented. "The blue evening gown brings out your eye and the makeup complements your skin colour." 

"Thanks, Victoria, but the credit goes to you." I beamed so brightly. 

"Nah, I believe beauty runs in the royal family's DNA." she piped. 

I blushed a bit, looked at myself in the mirror a few times before the knock came. "That's your cue, Annabelle. Have fun and please don't forget to be by Richard's side so nothing bad happens today," she said before opening the door, letting a guard in. 

"My Princess The King seeks your presence in the dining room." the guard gave a slight bow. 

"Of course tell The King I'll be there in a minute," I said. 

"Yes, Princess." he bowed before exiting the room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Princess Annabelle is approaching the dining room." a man announced in order to get everyone's attention. 

"A merry evening to you all." I curtsied.

"Good evening to you too my dear daughter." my grandfather smiled before ordering the butler to pull out my chair for me. 

"Good evening," Richard said. 

"Okay, since my granddaughter has arrived, you may all start eating. Our cooks and chefs have prepared you all a hearty meal and also it's the Firce standard, " my grandfather said. 

"Of course Elias, we have never had low expectations when coming here." a man on black shirt said. "That's your standard." 

"You said it right, Delco." the man who was wearing a green jacket said. "I like the way you always put your guest likes and dislikes into consideration." 

"Our pleasure." my grandfather grinned. 

I noticed Amoux was stealing gazes at Richard and I while the guy that was sitting beside me was fuming with anger. I squeezed Richard's hands that had just formed into a fist below the table. 

'I won't do anything," Richard's voice emerged in my head. 

'How are you doing this?' I asked. 

'Telepathy,' he said.

I stole a glance at Richard before mind connecting to him again.

'Why didn't you tell me before?" I asked. 

'I forget,' he said. 

'Really?' 

'Okay, you caught me. I didn't tell cause I thought it was too early to expose you to it but it seems like your mind connected immediately I tried to link with you.' he said. 

'How are you doing this?'

'Simple. All you need to do is imagine the person you want to speak to, then say what you want to say in your head.' he explained. 'We use it to talk to people when we can't speak to them physically, like this for instance.'

'That means I can do this anytime?' 

'Sure, but if the person doesn't connect, then you can't talk, the person needs to connect first before you guys can talk.' 

'Okay,' I said. 

Dinner was silent the only sound heard was the cutleries that kept on scratching with the ceramic plates. I looked at the guests my grandfather was hosting tonight and I felt curiosity flow through my veins when I looked at the man on green and the people who sat beside him. 

'King Zorion of Yugen.' Richard's voice emerged in my head. 

'I didn't give you permission to read my mind, asshole.' I said. 

'I didn't do it intentionally.' he pouted. 

'Whatever. Just go on.' I said. 'Are the ladies sitting beside him related to him?'

'Yeah. The two of them are his wives.' Richard said. 

'Two of them? They practice polygamy.' I whispered. 

'Yeah. The lady sitting next to him is his first wife, her name is Asralyn while the next one is his second wife, her name is Dorath.' he said. 'The girls next to Dorath are Asralyn's children, they are triplets.'

'Breya, Aleera, Caelia, right?" I inquired. 

'Yes, but how did you..?'

'Victoria talked about them, she didn't want them to show up.' I said. 

'Won't blame her, those girls are annoying, rude and proud.' he said. 'The last time they came to stay the way they treated Victoria made me lose it.' 

'They seem and look terrible.' I said. 

'They are a bunch of nasty girls.' he said. 

After everyone finished their dinner, we played a few games and a few jokes were told, well mostly old men jokes cause they went amazing to any young person. "Well, rulers of each respective kingdom let us talk actual business and leave the women and children to themselves." my grandfather chuckled. "We can talk in my study." 

"Okay, Elias," Yugen said. "Lead the way."

Yugen, Delco and my grandfather went into the study room to talk about business, leaving the women and children together in the hall. 

"Come on, Annabelle," Richard whispered as he dragged my arm. "I want to show you something," 

"Show me what?" I asked. "You know we have guests."

"Just 5 minutes. Please," he said. 

"Fine," I said before rolling my eyes at him, which only made him chuckle. 

"You look cute when you do that," he mumbled in my ear. "Plus, you look ravishing in this gown." 

My cheeks turned so red to the exact that it hurt. "Shut up and let's go."

Richard brought me to the castle's main balcony, which left me puzzled. "What are we doing here?" 

"Look!" he pointed at the sky. 

Looking at the sky and seeing nothing but the clouds and the moon got me even more confused. "Look at what!"

"5...4....3....2....1." he counted. "Now look."

I tilted my head to the sky, and I saw snowflakes falling down from the sky. There were of different sizes and colours. "Wow! This is a beautiful sight." 

"I know. I brought you here so you can see it up and close." Richard said. 

"Thank you," I said before tilting my hand back to enjoy the view.
