THE BETA'S CAPTURE

Beta Raymond was on duty doing his regular check on the pack's boundary when he perceived an unfamiliar smell of werewolves, he quickly stood on guard waiting for them to show up.

From the forest came four wicked looking werewolves still in their human form.

"They don't smell like rogues, that means they are from a pack" Raymond thought to himself.

But why are they so fearless as to approach Blood Rose pack?

Suddenly, one of them approached him. Raymond studied the hefty looking werewolf as he fearlessly walked up to him.

"We are not here to fight you, we just want you to come with us to meet our Alpha".

Beta Raymond was no coward, he would rather fight to the death than let himself be captured by some little werewolf pups.

"I don't think you know whose territory you are on, I suggest you go back to your Alpha and tell him Blood Rose pack is not a place he can send his minions to as he pleases."

The three others shifted to their wolves, snarling and growling at Raymond.

These wolves are no ordinary ones, they are trained war wolves, but who could be so bold enough to send his war to capture him?

"Beta, we know you are a proud man", said the young-looking werewolf in front of him.

"I propose you obediently come with us now that we are still being nice, you will get to meet our Alpha when you do so."

"Make it easy for yourself, beta Raymond, you certainly do not want to be taken by force".

"I would rather fight every single of you than let you take me to goddess knows where like some weak Beta.

"Then you leave us no choice."

The two who already shifted to their wolves ran towards Raymond to attack him.

Meanwhile, Raymond shifted to his terrifying large brown wolf, he let out a growl that left the four ferocious looking wolves to cower in fear.

After a few minutes, one of the wolves lunged at him, the Beta who was as fast as the speed of light quickly caught the wolf and ripped off it's head in a twinkle of an eye.

Two more lunged at him at the site of their partner ripped in two.

One tried to attack his throat why the other grabbed his hind legs, but Raymond being a swift and a calculative beta who studied his enemy dodged the attack from the one aiming for his throat, but he wasn't fast enough as the other wolf managed to sink his teeth on his legs, that made him loose balance for a second.

He waited for them to attack him again, this time calculating each movement they made, they made another attack and this time he ripped the underbelly of the first and threw him to the side.

Meanwhile, the last wolf was still in his human form watching the fight.

When it saw that there was no way for them to capture him at this point, he brought out a liquid, which was the last resort he was told to use to make beta Raymond's capture easier.

"This wouldn't have happened if only you agreed to come with us peacefully. You leave us no choice, as we must send you to our Alpha by force.

Raymond did not understand what they meant by taking him by force.

Just as he was about preparing for his next attack, suddenly a fluid ran down his skin making his body go numb, weakening his wolf by the seconds.

"What is wrong with him?, why can't he move his body".

Raymond struggled to regain consciousness as more fluid ran down his body, he wanted to mind link Alpha Rogers, but he was too weak to do so.

It suddenly dawned on him that the only thing that could make a strong wolf like him weak was wolfs bane, he blacked out seconds later.

RAYMOND

He woke up only to find himself tied up on a chair in a dark room, his body still weak from the effect of wolfs bane. Raymond tried untying himself,, but he only got weaker as he tried.

He realized wolfs bane was applied on the rope he was tied with as well. Just who was this Alpha and what does he want?

As he was struggling in his weak state, the door flung open, he saw no one apart from Derrick Winterson, witch Lana's brother.

"Derrick?, you are the Alpha those gall sickening wolves talked about?".

"Surprised to see me Beta, Raymond?, well, you wouldn't be tied up like this if you only obeyed". He said in delight.

"I gave them instructions to treat you with utmost respect, too bad you resisted. You can't blame me for this, will you?" Derrick said sarcastically with an evil grin on his face.

"What do you want, Derrick?, and why did you capture me?

"Don't worry, I don't plan to keep you here forever, you just have to give me some information on how to get your Alpha to this place".

"Did I just hear you correctly Derrick?, you want Alpha Rogers here?, don't tell me you want me to betray my Alpha.

"Because must be very sick to think I will let out any information about my pack and Alpha."

"Oh, Raymond, I wouldn't be too quick to refuse if I were you."

"Don't you find it weird, we were able to infiltrate Blood Rose pack and successfully capture you?"

"You are smart, you should have figured that out already."

What is he talking about?, this is bad I can't mind link Alpha Rogers now, Derrick had cut off the mind link, but who could possibly be betraying us? Beta Raymond wondered.

"Lana!, she's in on it too, right? You siblings are just a bunch of power hungry beast!".

"No you are mistaken Raymond, Rogers brought this upon himself, if only he had listened and gotten rid of his cursed daughter, he wouldn't have given us this opportunity".

"So all this was because of the prophecy?, hold on, I remember Lana gave that prophecy and if I am correct, it was a planned conspiracy to get rid of Alpha Rogers."

Derrick smirked at Raymond, confirming his suspicions.

"You are so evil, I can't believe you and Lana would do such a thing to your pack, Blood Rose is still your pack Derrick, we all treated you with respect and care until you left for Silver moon with your mate."

"You are yet again mistaken Raymond, I am doing this for my sister Lana, she's unmated up until now, all because of Eva!

"Rogers knew Lana had always been in love with him, but he chose to betray her, he ridiculed her publicly. Everyone in Blood Rose pack knew my sister was a better fit for Luna!

"I can't believe you are saying this Derrick, Eva is mate to Rogers and that automatically makes her his Luna, you of all people should know this.

"Why are you acting like a coward!."

"Derrick, please end this madness before it's too late. You, me and Alpha Rogers were all childhood friends. We lived as brothers and not just friends, why do you want to destroy our friendship just for your sister?."

"This wasn't Roger's fault nor Eva's, the moon goddess made them mates. You can't fight destiny, Derrick."

"There's no longer friendship between us three, you have no idea how long we have been planning for this day. It's too late Raymond, I made an alternative plan just in case you refused, which I knew you would."

"Send him in!".

Derrick called out to the guards keeping watch outside. They brought in a very exhausted and weak-looking Nathan. The moment Raymond saw his son, he growled with his last strength.

"What do you think you are doing Derrick?, why did you bring my son into this!?".

"Well, it's your fault you are more attached to Alpha Rogers, I heard your son is best friends with Maya".

Nathan, sobbed at the sight of his Father, he never thought there will come a time when he would see his father so helpless.

"Dad, I'm so sorry", Nathan cried bitterly.

"Oh what a site… Father and son reunion"

"Derrick, let him go, he's just a kid!".

"No one who associated with Alpha Rogers is innocent."

"Now if you want to save your Father little Beta, you will have to bring your Alpha here, by every means possible, tell him werewolf hunters kidnapped his Beta, If you don't, I can't promise your Father will leave here alive."

"Don't you listen to him son, remember what I always taught, pack comes before family. You are the future Beta, you have to defend our pack son."

"You are very foolish Raymond, you underestimate our plans, you think I would rely solely on you and your son?".

"Let me let you in on what's going on in Blood Rose pack now, My sister, with loyal members of Blood Rose pack are already in cohorts."

"You must be very naive to think we are fighting alone. Half of your so-called pack members are already on our side".

"If I were your little Beta, I will do as instructed. Lest I forget, I heard you recently found your mate. Now your Father's life isn't the only thing at stake but also your mother's and your new-found mate."

"Guards!, send him out to Blood Rose territory, he would find his way home from there. Don't forget, your family's life is at stake."
