MAYA

"Alpha Dean, are you sure about this?"

Maya cast a glance at her beta, who has been asking her the same question for the tenth time now.

"You know I cannot let anything happen to my men Ralph, not under my watch."

Ralph stared at her weirdly as though she said something strange to his hearing.

Maya suddenly stopped parking her weapons to stared at her beta.

"What?"

"Nothing much Alpha Dean. I'm very proud that you are our Alpha."

Maya raised the corner of her lips in a smile.

"It's my duty, nothing to be proud about." She said dryly and began repacking her stuff.

Though, she understood Ralph genuinely meant what he said, but if he were to be in her past life and have the knowledge about it, she's very sure that he won't be so proud of her.

People have died in her very own eyes, she had taken rash decisions which made things worse.
