NATHAN'S BETRAYAL

I was getting weaker and weaker. How did this happen, how foolish was I not to notice this conspiracy?

Meanwhile, Blood Rose pack was in utter chaos at the kidnap of Beta Raymond. Alpha Rogers tried mind linking his beta severally but no response, he knew something bad must have happened to his beta.

He took with him some pack tracers and scouts, and they searched around the area,, but there was no trace leading to where Raymond might be.

Maya, upon hearing the news, went in search for Nathan, but he was nowhere to be found. "Was he kidnapped too and no one noticed?"

"Tania!, yes I have to find Tania, maybe he's with her.

I couldn't care less about Tania's hatred for me, our pack is in danger and I have to find Nathan to know he's safe, so we could search for his Dad together.

NATHAN

I was left a few walks away from my pack's boundary, my wolf Jack whimpered in pains.

I heard about my Dad's capture when I was taking a run close to the pack's boundary. Furthermore, I thought if I traced him by his scent, I might be able to track him and his captors, but little did I know his scent led to a deeper part of the forest where I was to be captured as well.

On getting to the boundary, I tried tracing his scent, but it led me deeper into the forest. This was weird, we were constantly warned never to get past our boundary, specially this part of the forest because it led to the dwelling of rogues.

Just who are these people and why did they capture my Dad?

I walked into the deeper part of the forest totally unaware of my environment until I heard some rustling sounds.

I immediately became alert, i eye scanned the forest.

Just then, two giant wolves stood in front of me, and from my quick observation they must be war wolves from some pack. One among them shifted to his human form, he looked quite older than I am.

If they are here for a fight, I sure won't back down, I said to myself.

"Hello young Beta, you must be here looking for your father, correct?

"What pack are you from, and what do you want with my dad?", I asked in pure rage and my wolf attempting to take over.

"Woah… calm down, you are a feisty one, huh?".

"I asked you a question, where is my father and why is he captured?". I was beginning to run out of patience.

"Well if you want to find out, I suggest you come with us".

This was too tricky, something's definitely not right but I have to find out where he is being taken to before I mind link the Pack.

"Just cut to the Chase, tell me where he is, and I will give you a peaceful death!".

"You have no idea whose pack you are messing with, I suppose". The guy who was naked in his human form suddenly gave a hearty laugh.

"I don't see anything funny about what I said, don't waste my time, where is Beta Raymond?".

"Told you already, if you want to know where he's been taken to, you'll have to come with us".

Okay, right now, I have to find out where my fad is, and when I get there I would be quick to mind link the pack, I thought.

"Lead the way, then".

I did not let my guard down, for I really didn't trust these pack wolves from goddess knows where. I walked behind them, watching their every step and eye contacts.

After walking for more than thirty minutes, I was yet to find out where we were headed to.

I was about asking how long it would take to get there when suddenly I felt some strange movement behind me and just as I was about turning to attack whomever it was, I was hit with a metal bar which rendered me weak instantly and I fell down. I tried getting up to attack, but I was too weak to move my legs, What's happening to m?, how come am this week.

"Take him to the Alpha" I heard the one who hit me with a metal bar say.

"He's weak now, there's nothing much he can do, and I'm sure he can't mind link anyone from his pack either."

How foolish I was, how naive. Now I've put my entire pack in danger. I should have mind linked my pack when I had the chance.

They walked for what seemed to be an hour with me behind them, securely tied in chains. We came across an old-looking building with some werewolves guarding the area.

This place looked deserted with just one old rusty building in the middle of nowhere, this must be where my dad was captured to, I could perceive his scent strongly around here.

My captors handed me over to some of the guards who dragged me along a passage, they halted in front of a room, after about some minutes A deep commanding voice said…

"Send him in!",

Immediately I was dragged into the room. I was shocked out of my wits to see my dad. He looked so bruised and exhausted, he was tied to a chair with chains like some prisoner. I can't believe the man I have always thought was strong and looked up to was helplessly tied up to a chair, looking all battered.

"What do you think you are doing, Derrick, why did you bring my son into this!?.

"Well Beta, it's your fault you are more attached to Alpha Rogers, I heard your son is best friends with Maya".

It's all my fault, I should have called for help when I had the chance, it's all my fault my dad is still tied up here.

"Dad, I'm so sorry". He must be so disappointed in me now.

"Oh what a sight… Father and son reunion"

"Derrick, let him go, he's just a kid!".

"No one associated with Alpha Rogers is innocent."

"Now if you want to save your father little Beta, you will have to bring your Alpha here, by every means possible, tell him werewolf hunters kidnapped his Beta, If you don't, I can't promise your Father will leave here alive".

"Don't you listen to him son, remember what I always taught, pack comes before family. You are the future Beta, you have to defend our pack son".

What am I to do?, do I have the power to save my pack, this must be the cruelest nightmare have ever had, my head was aching badly?

"You are very foolish Raymond, you underestimate our plans, you think I would rely solely on you and your son?."

"Let me let you in on what's going on in Blood Rose pack now, My sister, with loyal members of Blood Rose pack are already in cohorts."

"You must be very naive to think we are fighting alone. Half of your so-called pack members are already on our side".

So if I were your little Beta, I will do as instructed. Lest I forget, I heard you recently found your mate. Now your Father's life isn't the only thing at stake but also your mother's and your new-found mate. "

"Guards!, send him out to Blood Rose territory, he would find his way home from there. Don't forget, your family's life is at stake."

I was dragged out of the room to find my way back to Blood Rose pack. I wheezed as I ran with the little strength I had left, my wolf was unable to heal,, but he was tough.

Furthermore, I kept thinking as I ran towards my pack. Should I save my pack? But if I do my family will be wiped out, my mate will be dead.

What should I do, my wolf Jack was muttering words I couldn't understand, I just kept running in my would form.

When I got to Blood Rose pack's territory, I knew I had to make a choice.

I finally decided I was going to save my Family, I will have to betray my pack because there was no way we could fight them anyway. The pack was already filled with Derrick and Lana's followers.

I will forever bear the guilt of causing the ruin to my pack, I will forever pay for this crime. My wolf Jack whimpered, I could barely hear what he was saying, but I caught on his last words.

"We must save Maya, it's our duty to protect Maya…"

"I'm truly sorry to Maya, she did not deserve this fate, but there is nothing we can do Jack, we are weak and helpless now".

My wolf Jack, felt so bad and so did I. I believe the moon goddess won't let witch Lana and Alpha Derrick win in this battle of power. I earnestly pray the time will come when I can right my wrongs.
