Vincent looked around only to see himself surrounded by a Jungle. He was alone.
???: not so fast youngling.
Vincent: "what!? who said that?"
Out of the corner of Vincent's eyes he noticed to glowing red eyes looking at him from the shadows. Once he focused on them he saw a black skeleton with crownlike spikes emerging from its skulls.
Ħèkk: "I am unamused with your lack of awareness."
Vincent did not reply and simply showed Ħèkk a displeased face of his own.
Ħèkk did not care about Vincent's feelings as she strait away got to teaching Vincent how to use Saħèrrack. After a while Ħèkk pointed at a flower in the distance.
Ħèkk: "Do you know what that flower is?"
Vincent was surprised by the sudden question as he took a closer look at the flower. Its petals glowed in a mixture of purple and pink. Vincent did not recognise the plant as he eventually shook his head.
Ħèkk: "That over there is a Eurefrion. These flowers were created artificially by ancient necromancers. If you were to touch even one of its petals the flash on your entire body would evaporate in seconds as your skeleton would become a undead. From this distance you will not be able to sense it especially with your lacklustre skills in utilising what I've taught you. Now take 15 steps towards the flower and hold you hand in the air and try to feel the flow of death in your surroundings then."
Vincent took 15 steps towards the flower. Once he raised his hand he began to cast Saħèrrack. His hands could feal a cold and static energy that was counterintuitively also constantly moving. It was death. It was the strongest source of death energy he had yet encountered. The death energy float outwards as if being pushed away from the source of its power.
Ħèkk: "You can feal it correct?"
Vincent: "Yes... I do."
Ħèkk: "It's all flowing out of the Eurefrion. Its stem and petals are the most dangerous parts. If you ever see one of these flours in reality than turn around and run away. There is no honor in staying around one of these."
Vincent: "By the way I have never seen one of these before."
Ħèkk:"Than lucky you. Now back to the subject matter. Now use your arms to push away the death energy like how you would try to create cold air by waving your arms on a hot summer day.
Vincent: "Oh im getting a hang of it."
Ħèkk: "Focus! Your current achievement amounts to nothing. Moving some death energy away while standing a moderate distance from a Eurefrion flower is unimpressive. Its like a unborn chicken that hasn't even hatched yet and than think if yourself as a accomplished warrior."
Vincent:"You sure know how to kill any good mood that may dare to rear its head in your surroundings."
Ħèkk: "Death energy is everywhere. And i mean it literally. Everywhere that anything as ever died there will be death energy there. Thing how long the world must have existed before any of us were born and think how many countless life forms must of perished over the years. Think how much of it has accumulated over the years in every single part continent and beyond."
Vincent:" So you are saying?:
Ħèkk: "Death energy can be found anywhere. Even if by some miracle there is none there you can kill something and i mean anything even a bug and there will be death energy there again. The problem is death energy disperses over time. Its still there but its harder to manipulate once its less condensed. Any sufficiently capable necromancer can use his magic anywhere due to this. On the other hand you needed a Eurefrion for the death energy to be sufficiently condensed for you to be able to use it. What you must practice is not just control so that your manipulation of the energy would actually be useful but also your ability to use your magic in a less dense environment. And by sufficiently skilled necromancer i mean moderately capable. Basically only incompetent fools would still be unable to, thus we must practice until you wake up. If we're lucky you may be able to perform some basic death magic to defend yourself in a less dense environment by tomorrow morning.
