Labor, the third killing, and the cops getting close

5 months later Sierra gave birth to twins one boy and one girl. The girl they named Julia and the boy they named Kyle. They were identical twins both born with blond hair and blue eyes. Max almost didn't make it for the birth of his children, because he was out on a contract. One of Mr. A's friends had a man who betrayed him and he offered Phenix 50,000 dollars if they kill him today. Mr. A's friend gave Max the details of where he could find the man. He got a text that his wife was going into labor while he was looking for the man he was hired to kill.

When he found the man he made sure that it looked like a heart attack since the man had a history of heart disease so no one would question the cause of death. After the killing, Max made his way to the hospital as fast as he could without speeding which would bring attention to himself. He burst through the doors yelling to the nurse and she led him to where his wife was. He made it just in time to see his twins born.

A police officer walked into the room asking, "Is Mr. Thorne here?"

Max raised his hand saying, "That is me what is this about?"

"The nurse reported you for verballing disturbing the hospital." said the cops with a groan.

"Really my wife was giving birth and I needed to rush to her so I wouldn't miss it." groaned Max.

"The nurse didn't tell me that. Sometimes I hate my job. Fine, I'll let you go with a warning don't scare the hospital staff again." laughed the cop.

The cop noticed that there was something that looked like blood on Max's shoes which made him suspicious.

"Why is there blood on your shoes?" asked the cop.

Max laughed and said, "Oh my nose started to bleed from the stress I didn't have time to clean it up."

The officer knew that the blood spatter wasn't from a nose bleed but a cast-off blood spatter. He tried to ignore the fact since he might have a reasonable excuse to have that kind of blood spatter. He apologized for disturbing them and left.

When the cop left Max looked at his shoes and groaned, "Fuck I hope I didn't mess up this contract."

The officer heard that wondering what he meant. When the officer was about to step in to arrest him for suspicion of something he saw that Max had a burner phone as well as a personal phone. He knew if he arrested Max now he wouldn't have enough evidence to keep him in jail. Sierra saw the officer and whispered something to Max which made him turn around looking at the cop with an unwelcomed look in his eyes.

"I answered your questions now can you please go and leave us alone." groaned Max.

The officer raised his hands in defense and walked out confused about what just happened. Before the officer left he noticed that Max had a gun hidden in his belt. He made a little happy dance and turned around holding up his cuffs smiling.

"Mr. Throne, I noticed that you have a gun concealed in your belt. You are not allowed to have guns in a hospital unless you're an officer of the law." said the officer with a smile on his face.

He notice the panicked look in their eyes and knew something was up.
