"Let us make this right..."
About a month ago, those were the parting words from his father that changed everything in his family. Everything and that included Jacob.
When he had first heard those words, he had turned back to look into the older man's eyes. And that one look made him see the sincerity in what the older man was saying. There were no lies to it.
Even as much as he wondered just what had prompted the older man to have a change of mind suddenly, and although he had slightly attached it to the death of the woman between them, he just had to accept the fact that the older man wanted to change.
The proof was everywhere now. From the older man spending more time with him and Jacob now. Not as close as it ought to be like, but it was more than enough. Putting a call through to them every week had turned into a regular thing, one that seemed awkward at the start before they all got over it.
