He was lying flat on the bed with his eyes closed. Not that he had any other choice as he was being tended to by the doctor. He let his hearing stay firm though as he listened to the doctor's comments and notes concerning his health. But inwardly, he was furious.
There was one thing he hated the most — being vulnerable. The feeling was the stage where he could breakdown much too easily due to the pitiful state he was in and he just didn't like it. And unfortunately, that was how he felt at this present moment.
The accident hadn't been so serious. But he had decided to make it look like one, at least to give the public the benefit of the doubt. And with the way he was feeling now, he knew he would need days to fully recuperate. And it wasn't in terms of his physical self but that of his spiritual well-being which he had completely exhausted the day before.
