Torment
"Parker, I still do not understand how his words managed to get through me. I mean, it's been days now but I still haven't gotten over it. And I still can't wrap my head around the fact that he sounded like he knows something about me."
Director Dickson stepped out of his automobile into the premises of a not-too expensive looking building — a duplex that was far better than the average at least. His phone was placed on his ear which signified he was onto a call but there was something odd about it.
He looked worried... seriously worried like he had committed a grave offence. The slight wrinkles on his middle-aged face folded up as a result of his expression. Into the peaceful but dimly lit scenery, he began striding up, his focus on the entrance that leads into the building.
"Anyway, where's the president now?" He asked the person on the end of the line.
