Start of the Conquest

It was time. What it had been waiting for was coming to pass. Over forty hours, or better still days, of waiting was finally going to pay up. It hadn't waited hidden for too long without having a goal in mind. Now the goal was at the point of being accomplished.

It remembered its master's words. The specific instruction given to it when it all started: "When the lesser hypotheses core wears off from the mind of the host, reveal yourself." As clear as crystal. And it did well to abide by the instruction.

'The host is coming in soon,' it thought enthusiastically. 'If I could wait for such long period, why then cannot I wait for a few earthly hours?'

This was even the best way to reveal its presence, that it knew. Right up in the enclosure of the host's apartment. That way, the host wouldn't be thought of as crazy if done in the view of other earthlings. Just a few reflections had seemingly frightened the host and it hoped today wouldn't be the same.
