Pointy Ears

~•Aden•~

"What took you two so long?" I let out an exasperated remark the very moment two figures made their way through the door.

Since the last twenty minutes, I had been waiting for them to arrive. I was starting to get worried as the second hand of the clock ticked by. It wasn't Amara I was worrying about, but rather Michael.

I knew that she was capable enough to handle things on her own. But how she would handle Michael, a potential witness to her powers, was something bugging me from the moment I left her with him. I was hoping that she would not do something which she would regret later on, or something which would get on my nerves and ruin our newly found friendship.

"Why are you getting your panties in a twist?" It was Amara who spoke up. "We are here, aren't we?" She looked at me as if my ears had grown horns on top of my head.
