I stared back at him as I waited for his reply. I knew that he had no reason to even talk to Aden, let alone hurt him. But I wasn't willing to take the risk of waiting around just to see it happening.

For someone who had been hunting demon hunters for most of his life, or at least working in the same field, beating an angel wasn't something hard to achieve. Moreover, I had yet to see Aden using his essence, so I was not sure how powerful he was. Hence, I needed to be sure that he wasn't in any danger because of the people I hang around with.

"Colen?" I called his name as I waited for his answer. He was being too quiet for my liking. "Say something." My voice sounded like a whisper even to my own ears.

"You love him, don't you?" Instead of answering me, he presented me with a question of his own.
