Chapter 8: Pieces of Puzzle

Deku and his group finally went back to their base.

[ Turn the lights on. ] inside the dark place, Deku's voice was heard.

And as he had ordered, Kurogiri had turned the lights on, revealing everyone, comfortably sitting on their own seats.

[ So, boss, where's Twice and Toga? ]

[ They should arrive at any moment. ]

[ Haah... And here I thought they wouldn't be late for the first time since this is our biggest attack yet, yet look at them! Still messing around with their mission! ]

Muscular - he was the most impatient and violent in the group. He's known for his dangerous tendency of injuring and killing people, especially heroes just for fun. But when it comes to the group's tasks, he's one of the most reliable.

Furthermore, he doesn't particularly like the two, Toga and Twice for their crazy antics and behavior - Hence, he was the most to complain about everyone's fault, particularly of Toga's and Twice's.

[ Huh!? ] immediately, Muscular stood up and activated his Quirk.

The muscles on his arms transformed inside out revealing some kind of a meat armor, or perhaps, muscle armor.

They were prepared to launch their own attack. But before they could, they were interrupted...

[ Stop that you two. ]

It was Shigaraki, their former leader. He had already removed his prop hands and is now looking normal. Well, normal for what he always looks like - a guy with messy hair and baggy eyes.

[ You know, I would've not stopped the two of you from killing each other, but we still haven't completed our mission yet. ] in his usual demeanor, he interrupted the two of them.

[ Ah... ]

[ Yea... Of course, I know. ]

They lowered their guards and replied.

It just shows that even if he's now just an ordinary member, they still respect him as their former leader.

They heard footsteps outside. Of course, there were no others to arrive, so they have guessed that it should be the two they left for their own missions.

Unlike Toga, they welcomed Twice with glee and he could only laugh at it with a genuine smile.

He slid two bottles on the desk and filled it with his wine, and asked the two of them to sit at the counter.
