9. Chapter 9: Honorable Woman

"Looks like we have my husband's guest."

"My lover is missing me that's why I have to see him soon."

"Don't you know that the Duke already has a lover?"

"But my lover does not love his wife."

A hard slap landed on Lady Camila's cheek. Immediately, his face hardened. The Empress saw hatred in the eyes of the woman in front of her. There was the sound of the empress' footsteps walking towards Lady Camila. In her heart, the Empress didn't want to deal with that woman but she had to discipline her before going any deeper.

"Do you know who you're talking to?"

Lady Camila held her cheek and shed tears. The atmosphere looks like a drama. Everyone probably thought the Empress was a ruthless woman who bullied a helpless girl.

"Your Majesty already has everything. Position, husband, and even the people love Her Majesty. I just want to have the Duke. We love each other."

This woman is crazy. She said if she wanted to take the empress's husband because the empress had everything. It's a very stupid reason. I brought my face closer to his. Camila's body shook with fear. With a small smile, I answered her question.

"I don't like sharing with someone. As a noble Lady must be able to maintain behavior."

"Is it wrong that I love the Duke?"

I then held my forehead. My head feels very heavy. Not because it's wrong or right to love someone but.

"A respectable woman will not destroy another's household even for reasons of love. There are many handsome and great young men out there. Lady Camila doesn't have to spend time just loving a man who already has a partner."

"You two don't love each other. Does Your Majesty know how the Duke feels when Her Majesty has many men?"

"I heard that Her Majesty visited the Duke."

Emmanuel's jealous expression looked very cute. I then kissed his lips gently.

"Are you jealous that I'm close to the Duke?"

"I just don't like it. He has hurt Her Majesty's heart."

"What about the other concubines?"

"Actually Emmanuel feels jealous but all the youths in the Harem belong to Her Majesty."

If Emmanuel was in my world. He will be a gentle and kind husband. He was forced to be willing to share with other men who were in the Harem. I must take action immediately. "May I serve Your Majesty?"

Lady Yun called me. Maybe there is something urgent to say that interferes with the rest time.

"Emmanuel, we'd better stop here for now."

I pushed Emmanuel's body then stood up straightening my clothes. Emmanuel's face looked sad. I feel sympathy for him. The door to the room opened Lady Yun did a curtsy. She was nervous then looked at Emmanuel who was sleeping. Then Lady Yun lowered her head.

"Is there something urgent?"

"There was a commotion in the Harem. Several concubines wanted to meet Her Majesty. After the memory loss incident, Her Majesty has never met another concubine."

"Okay, I'll be right there."

I immediately changed the clothes I was wearing. I then approached Emmanuel and held his face with both palms.

"You go back to rest. There's something I have to do."

Emmanuel then left the room. Lady Yun and I then walked towards the Harem room. Concubines other than favorites were in the Harem palace. The room is located at the south end. After arriving at the Harem palace. The guard opens the door. The concubines only wore a limited white cloth so that the chest and thighs were exposed. I was instantly embarrassed and turned my face to the side.

"Finally Her Majesty is willing to meet us."

Sixteen youths approached me. They were pleased with my arrival.

"I heard that you guys made a fuss in the middle of the night."

The concubines lowered their heads and fell silent. They were afraid of getting punished for making the empress angry. It wasn't long before one of the concubines spoke.

"It's been a long time since we all saw His Majesty. We're afraid that His Majesty doesn't care anymore."

Those words were like what Emmanuel had said. I want to know how much they depend on the owner of this body. Suddenly three young men came. Karol and the soldiers stopped behind me.

"Who has dared to make a mess?"

I looked at the concubines his whole body trembled after seeing Karol's arrival. No wonder the nickname Tyrant can frighten them. Karol gave the code to the soldier. Two soldiers threw a fist in the stomach of one of the concubines. They then fell clutching their stomachs. They seem to be in pain. Isn't this too cruel?

"This is a warning to all. Nothing can interfere with the activities of the Empress. All the youths in the Harem belonged to the Empress. Just because Her Majesty doesn't meet doesn't mean you can make a fuss. I as the squad leader will not hesitate to execute you."

I looked at Karol with admiration. His military spirit is very visible.
