Alexandria's Flashback II

When we arrive at the hospital, the investigator who talked with Rafa on the phone is also there. He explained to us what happened and why Adriana is in this state and showed us where Adriana is located. He directed us to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. As I looked at her in the glass pane, my tears started to fall again.

She was covered with tubes and bandages. It was a miracle that she survived the fall and the operations that were done to her. I am thankful that she survived even though she fell into a deep sleep.

"What happened to her?" I ask them.

"Ms. Ria, according to the initial report. She avoided a speeding car that is coming in the opposite direction. Due to that, she maneuvers her car to the side, but she hit on the barricade of the cliff that results from the car falling in the cliff." The investigator says to me.

I was sitting outside the ICU when Rafa sat beside me and gave me a cup of coffee. I am still shaken about the things that happened, and I wasn't able to open up to him yet. I know he will ask me who Adriana is in my life, but I didn't expect it this soon.

"Who is she, love?" Rafa said while staring at me.

I look up from the coffee cup I am holding and stared back at him. I can see in his eyes the confusion and the understanding that his question might not be answered today or any other day. I know he can see in my eyes that I am struggling on opening up to him and that there are a lot of things I am hiding from him.

Looking at the sincerity and love shown in his eyes, I know I am now ready to open up to him.

"She..." I was about to tell him who she is when my phone rang. I saw that it's the others. I already told them what happened, via message. I didn't call them directly for I know they are busy in each of their respective time. I picked it up and stood up, away from Rafa.

"How is she?" Tori ask on the other line

"Her condition is now stable, but she is still in a state of coma, "I replied

"Aren't we going to tell them?" Yela asked.

"We can't tell them." Ravi said.

"What happened to her? Why is she in Italy? Did she contact any of you?" Yela asked again.

The question caught us off guard. Why is Adriana in Italy? The last time we heard she is in NYC.

"I don't know. She hasn't said a thing to me about going to Italy." I said.

"How about you Ravi? What's the last location of the GPS she had?" Tori voice out.

"That's the thing I need to talk to you guys about. After I received Adi's message I track her GPS and it says that she is in NYC" Ravi said that startled all of us.

"How about the other GPS that we are using" Yela question. 'Right we have another tracker beside the GPS location that we have. In case we want to mislead the prying eyes of our parents.' I thought to myself.

"I also checked that one, it says NYC, but i tried checking the history of travel and it clearly shows signs in Italy for 1 year and then goes back to NYC." Ravi explained.

"One year? that's impossible, I talked to her last month, she said that she is having fun with the flower shop she opened" I said flabbergasted.

"Same here, we also talked a week ago, and she is loving her freedom so much." Yela also confirmed.

"We kept in touch for the previous months because of event I am organizing in NYC. I don't find any problems that she showed me during those times." Tori said.

"I don't think she is telling you guys the truth." Ravi said all of a sudden."As you all know, I need to keep updated on your daily life and how you are all doing and who you all meet for this past 2 years." Ravi paused for a while." But this year, she went off the grid." Ravi said that shook us all.

"Off the grid? That's impossible, we talked with her." I said confused.

"You do know that aside from me, Ria is a genius when it comes to hacking and being of the grid. Since she was a child she dabble on trying to hide her tracks from her parents to experience normal life once in a while." Ravi explained.

She is right, among us only Ria can hide her tracks and activities away from her parents and us, even Ravi needs to take time to uncover her tracks.

"Since last year, I discovered that she is trying to be off the grid. Since then I tried to uncover her tracks. I did able to uncover it, but not all of it. She meet a guy when she visited Adi in Italy last time. It was only a brief encounter and then it stops there. From then I don't know what happened next." Ravi explained.

"The last time Ria visited me was last year, during the fashion show of my mentor in Milan, Italy. She did mention that she bumped into some guy who he meet in NYC buying break-up flowers for his ex-fling. It was only a passing mention because she was pissed at how arrogant the guy is, but that's all." I shared the thing I remembered before.

After talking I can hear some voices in the background, "We need to go to Italy" Ravi said.

"I better go, after I am done with my shoots I will clear my schedule and go to Italy. Ta Léme" Yela said and cut off her line.

"Me too, I still have to round up some of my fur patients, I will contact again before I fly to Italy. Ta Léme, Adi and Ravi" Tori said cut off her line too.

"Update me if there are any progress or changes in her health Adi. I will be there once I am done in my end." Ravi said

"I will, let me know when you are here Ravi." I said.

"I will, Ta Léme Adi." Ravi said and cut off her line.

"Ta Léme everyone." I said in a whisper and look at the ICU glass where Ria is confined.
