'My queen! We have to leave now!'I exclaimed at her as the ordeal passed through my head. The dynasty is dead. Those on the sidelines will want to show their loyalty to the cause.
What better way than to cut down the remnants.
'Lucas… I will forgive your impudence because of how high the tension is but if you do not give me a reason we will have a problem.' she said in an icy tone clearly madking her grief. I composed myself quickly and told her what I thought.
'The war is lost your grace. Now is the Baratheon Dynasty. Those who did not participate in the war will be looking to show their loyalty. For that they have two options. Attacking Kings Landing or here. More of the royal familly are here which makes us a bigger target. We can't let this nees spread until tomorrow incase there are traitors here.By tomorrow I'll have a small fleet ready to sail carrying you to safety in Essos.'
Rhaella was shocked by this theory but the more she thought about it the more it made sense. Luckily her pregnancy was only two months along so she will be able to survive a trip on the ship.
'Where should we go? I know we have a manse in Braavos and Lys but considering that Westeros has a good reach there I would not…'
'I am not sure myself. My children are in Braavos right now for the war as well.'
'But if you want to be completely out of reach from Westeros and the spider while gathering strength slowly in anonymity I would recommend either Yi-ti or Volantis. Hopefully behind their black walls.'
'Why Yi-ti?'
'They are rich and more civilized than here. If you get in the good graces of the Yellow Emperor or one of the forty princes you would have an easier time.'
Rhaella seemed to take that information and mull over it in her head before deciding.
'We will go to Volantis first. Stay for a few years before building connections with Yi-ti. I want my children to have some valyrian heritage.'
'Your grace you have to be careful remember that most of them are slavers. You must not let any of the royals pick up on that behavior. It will not endear people to you when the restoration comes.'
'When we return should we expect to have you on our side?'
'You are the one who raised me up. I am loyal to you and your progeny.'
She nodded at that. Hopefully I dispersed any weary feeling she had for me.
'I will gather my most leal subjects and tell them at night. We will take everything worth of coin here and food for the voyage.'
Her face turned solemn for a moment before she looked at me with her eyes boring into my soul.
'Will you come with me?'
Ahhhh I did not see this coming. For all my gratefulness I cannot leave my family behind for her. I have Aemon, Malenia and Xavier to take care of. I have so much to do.
'I can't my queen. You will need someone who is loyal to you here. My island is isolated abit so I have more control of my territory. You will always have a hearth at my home. I will regularly send you updates about the kingdom. So you must escape and plan a restoration with Elia and her children.'
'I will say vows to Baratheon but make no mistake I am your vassal. The vassal to Queen Rhaella and her progeny from now to forever.'
I got down on one knee and planted Destined Death into the ground while bowing my head.'
I couldn't see Rhaella's expression as my head was bowed towards the ground but I heard a sigh as she put her hand on on my shoulder.
'Arise Lord Lucas I never doubted you. I will hold you to your promise. I will also defer to you when an chance to return will be feasible.'
'Of course. I do not recommend soon. The realmn needs to heal. Give it time an opportunity will present itself.'
With that she left the room to quickly but her things in order. As she left I released a deep breath I had been unknowingly holding.
I stood up straight looking towards the door but held Destined Death tightly in my hand.
Throughout this conversation I could feel the presence of two others but I couldn't find anyone in the room even with my heightened senses.
Which brought me to a conclusion they were not here physically. During the talk I was flaring my magic a bit to sense where the feeling was coming from.
Eventually I saw two men dressed in black standing and watching at the corner of the room. Just spectating. I drew the conclusion that this was probably two people blessed with greensight.
One an aged man with a red mark and a closed eye while the other a young teenager with red hair and blue eyes watching silently. Two greenseers watching this moment which means it was important for them in the future.
Regardless I will let them off with a warning.
'You are lucky I am feeling generous today, mongrels.'
They both shifted slightly in shock the less experienced boy especially.
'Three eyed raven. Can he see us. You said no one can see us and we can't affect the past.'
'Quiet boy! He might be delusional he is not even looking our way.'
Interesting name, Three eyed raven. I will be on the lookout for such a title. The boy is his apprentice and a new one from what I see. No matter. They have given me an idea of how to train my greensight for that alone they have my gratitude.
But now they will only have my sword. I channeled as much magical energy or metaphysical energy as I could conjure into my blade and turned an looked both of them in the eyes.
'I see you.'
Immediately the boy panicked the man looked curious as if it was a new novelty. But I didn't give them much time to react as I swung the blade and slashed their metaphysical throats causing them to choke and disappear.
It seems the following years will not be boring if they needed to come to witness my past.
Three eyed raven POV
'Ahhhhhh!!!!!!' screamed Bran as he fell to his knees clutching his throat. I would have done the same had I not been bound to the weirwoods.
'You said no one could see us! You promised! How could he and why do I feel a part of me is missing!'
Now that he brings it up I do too. Curious. His blow affected the soul cutting a part of it off from the whole. Bran and I are missing a part of our being. I just hope its not lasting as I know nothing about soul magic.
'It is a first time for me too stop whining. We should avoid seeing his past from now onwards unless at a very safe distance.'
'Father always warned us about him. How he almost ended the rebellion twice. How dangerous he is. I never understood the horror of standing before him till now. I understand why they call him the Red Demon now.'
Yes. I remember seeing how he butchered men during the greyjoy rebellion. Greatest fighter I've ever seen bit this is a whole new meaning. For him to sense someone looking through time is a whole different game all together. The pieces keep moving, my plans need readjusting. I will not be blindsided again!
'Yes Bran. We must be extra cautious from now. Go rest we will continue later.'
I turned my head to consult with Leaf about the phenomenon.
