Chapter 41: Big Break
"You're kidding!" Birdy exclaimed in shock.
Alex chuckled and shook her head. "I'm being dead serious. I want you to do it."
"But - but, it's your debut!" Birdy said as she placed a hand over her thundering heart.
"It'll be OUR debut," Alex shrugged as she picked up her cappuccino and sipped it happily.
Birdy couldn't believe how nonchalant Alex seemed about the entire thing while she was about to faint. It had been about two weeks since their last meeting for the magazine cover and both women secretly felt like their relationship was back to normal. They didn't have any of the tension they'd had that day and still talked and hung out all the time.
Birdy had avoided going to Alex's place for fear of bumping into Ravyn, she had also been careful to never ask Alex about it. The other woman never offered any information anyway so Birdy didn't feel bad about not asking and she was grateful for the model's private nature.
