Chapter 38: Taking a Leap
Birdy huffed in frustration as she discarded the fifth outfit that she'd considered that morning. She wasn't usually this picky about her outfit, but today had to be absolutely perfect - she wanted to look and feel her sexiest and most confident.
After all her thinking and mulling and agonizing and fretting - she had finally come to a decision. Her decision was that she needed to confront Alex about what had been happening between them and get some real answers before choosing how to move forward.
Even though they had agreed to meet in a week, Birdy could no longer wait or take the uncertainty. If she was going to be crushed, she wanted to be crushed now while she was already recovering from Dale so she could do it all at once. She was ready to enter a new phase in her life and she needed to know in what capacity Alex would be involved.
