Chapter 36: Lone Birdy
Birdy wondered if she should call Alex again and see if the other woman was available to meet - she was probably out partying. Birdy was lying on her bed with a few fashion magazines around her, gaining inspiration and admiring the talent of other designers. She had seen Alex's face a few times as she'd flipped through the glossy pages of haute couture and missed the model.
They had agreed to meet up when their schedules settled down but, now she felt restless. She wanted to talk to Alex about everything that had happened with her and Dale, and between the two of them.
After coming home last night, she stayed awake later than usual just thinking through her relationship with Dale and sorting out her own feelings. The conclusion she'd come to was that she had already grieved her relationship with Dale - and the future they had planned when he'd broken up with her.
