Chapter 27: Daemon

Engaging in a conversation with Magnus about his potential romantic rival brought a sense of relief to Daemon regarding his actions and intentions towards Lady Cecilia. The prince confidently claimed that Markus didn't stand a chance, and Daemon couldn't resist asking for more details.

"And why is that, may I inquire?" Daemon smiled and saw a little movement after the rose bushes, before a delicate figure made its appearance there.

"Are you serious?" Magnus asked and continued after a pause "Because you entered the scene, of course. And I believe your intentions are sincere, are they now?"

"Of course they are, do you think I am a womaniser?"

"Of course not, cousin. We already have one at the castle, it's more than enough," the prince answered, pursing his lips in disdain before returning to his happy self. "It's obvious that the lady is fond of you as well and I have seen you two together only a few times. It's clear to see even with the blind eye."
