"My parents? What's wrong with them?"
"They control you, Suri. You are a person blessed by the Sun God, it is only natural that you should shine the brightest because you are the sun. Your parents restrain you a lot, even forbidding you from using your powers. They forbid you to tell others that you are the Saintess of the Sun, shackle you with boring routines."
Maxieno gently brushed Suri's cheeks with his hand. "I remember someone at Birwick used to have the loudest laugh. Your laughter used to echo almost all over Birwick Mountain."
Maxieno held Suri's hand, placing a tender kiss on her pulse.
"And in the past, you freely helped people with your powers without an ounce of hesitation."
"Is that true?" Suri asked skeptically. She found it hard to believe that she had once helped other people so willingly.
"Of course. Friends can't lie to each other, right?" Maxieno asked.
