Sirens
Edna closed her eyes quickly as the black liquid squirted towards her face.
The monster hiding behind the mermaid's form lay sprawled with a broken neck under Maximillian's hand.
The man squeezed its neck one more time. The dead mermaid then melted into numerous stinking fish and fell back into the sea water.
The two mermaids, who had also turned into monsters, looked at their kin with fearful eyes.
(That's the red dragon! He killed the Kraken! Let's get away before we die too!)
Both of them swiftly disappeared from the surface of the sea.
"Damn sirens!"
Edna was hugged by Luca from behind. The man then put her down.
Moments later, Isabelle came running with a buckle of water and a wet cloth to wipe off the blood of the siren that Maximilian had killed.
"Eden, are you okay?" asked Luca, while wiping Edna's face from the siren's black blood.
"What… what was that?" The girl asked, perplexed.
