Chapter 174: Did You Do Something Terrible to Megumi Last Night?

At this moment, Sui felt a sense of relief. If Chansey hadn't woken him up early, things would have been chaotic once everyone else started waking up.

But now Sui had a different concern.

Everyone had been drinking heavily last night, and both the men and women were sprawled out on the floor. Sui only managed to carry Alice upstairs. If anyone else ended up having an accidental encounter like he did, it would be a disaster.

Fortunately, the living room didn't reveal any shocking scenes.

The girls were sleeping quietly on the sofas, covered with warm blankets.

The boys were on the floor, also covered with quilts.

Sui sighed in relief. Nothing seemed to have gone wrong.

"Lucky! Lucky!" 

At this time, Chansey and Miltank approached, chirping happily.

"Are these the people you've been taking care of?" 

Sui smiled, reaching out to pat their heads.

The Pokémon nodded, looking quite pleased with themselves.

This made Sui feel a sense of accomplishment. Pokémon weren't just ordinary pets; they were highly intelligent. It seemed like they could even take on household responsibilities in the future.

Sui glanced over at Erina, who was still fast asleep in Hisako's arms.

However, even in her sleep, her cute face was scrunched up in frustration.

"Damn it, I definitely won't lose to you this time."

"Don't bully Erina-sama. If you dare, face me instead." 

Hisako mumbled in her sleep, clinging tightly to Erina.

Sui was momentarily speechless, then picked up the feisty young lady, intending to carry her to the bedroom to rest. He had already put new sheets on the bed.

Seeing this, Alice felt a pang of envy for some reason and couldn't help but sigh quietly.

Sui asked, "Are you leaving now?"

"Of course!" 

Alice replied indignantly, thinking to herself, 'Why would I stay?'

Sui nodded and added, "By the way, the fruits you wanted last night are in the kitchen refrigerator. Feel free to take them."

"If you think a little food is going to make me forgive you, then you're too naive!"

Alice pouted angrily.

"What happened between you and Sui?" 

A confused voice interrupted.

Alice's face immediately turned red, and she muttered, "Nothing."

After Sui carried Erina to the bedroom, he returned to find that Alice had already left.

Rubbing his temples, Sui felt a headache coming on. Sleeping with his sister-in-law was definitely going to cause problems in the future.

Then, he gently carried Hisako upstairs, placing her beside Erina in the bedroom.

Afterward, he carried the other girls one by one to the guest rooms.

"Sui…" 

When he picked up Megumi, she murmured in her sleep, a faint smile on her lips and a hint of shyness on her cute face. It was unclear what she was dreaming about.

Sui couldn't help but recall the incident from last night when he had kissed her by impulse. His heart stirred.

Looking at Megumi's rosy lips, Sui hesitated for a moment before planting a gentle kiss on her white forehead. "You silly girl," he murmured softly.

After settling the girls, Sui left the boys to sleep on the floor. After all, they weren't as delicate as the girls.

He then began preparing breakfast, but when he opened the refrigerator, he was momentarily speechless.

"Miss, is it really okay for us to empty someone else's refrigerator?" 

A worried voice asked.

Alice, clutching a piece of fruit in each hand, responded indignantly while chewing, "That guy told me I could take it! This is my revenge!"

As she spoke, her eyes turned red, and she started tearing up again.

"Wah, that bad guy really took my... my... Wah, Mom, Grandpa, what should I do?"

Her aide guessed that something had happened between his lady and Sui but wisely chose to stay silent.

Meanwhile, Sui had prepared a breakfast: fragrant lean pork rice porridge, golden fried dumplings, and perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs.

The enticing aroma soon wafted through the house, waking everyone up.

"It smells so good. I haven't slept this well in ages," 

Yoshino stretched lazily. She had been in a bad mood yesterday after failing to pass the preliminaries, but now she felt refreshed.

"Good morning, everyone." 

Megumi came out and greeted everyone softly. When her eyes landed on Sui, her cheeks flushed, and she quickly looked away.

"Huh?"

Yoshino looked back and forth between them, then asked suspiciously, "Sui, did you secretly do something terrible to Megumi while we were asleep last night?"

"No, Yoshinoi, don't talk nonsense!"

Megumi quickly denied it, her face turning crimson.

Hearing this, Sui felt a pang of guilt. He hadn't done anything to Megumi last night, but he had accidentally slept with her sister-in-law, Alice.

"Where's Alice? Has she left?"

Erina came downstairs, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"Yeah." 

Sui nodded.

"I feel so refreshed!" 

Rindō jumped into the room, flashing a grin that revealed her sharp fangs.

"Who carried me to bed last night?"

She asked.

"I did."

Sui replied.

"You didn't try anything while I was asleep, did you?" 

Rindō narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

Sui was left speechless. Did he really seem so untrustworthy?

Before long, everyone was up and gathered.

"Wow, it smells amazing! I can smell food!" 

Sōma said as he entered the kitchen, grinning.

"Breakfast is ready. Let's eat together," 

Sui said with a smile.

"I'm so sorry we stayed up so late last night, and now we're having the breakfast you made." 

Megumi said apologetically.

Afterward, everyone sat down and enjoyed breakfast together before going their separate ways.

The next few days passed peacefully. However, Sui didn't see Alice again, as if she were avoiding him because of what happened.

Soon, it was time for the quarterfinals.
