Returning to a More Problematic Time

Outside in the surface is now dead man's land... We're entering how my great-great-grandfather was in his time. On the other hand, my assistants think that with our progress with the cure this problem might finish earlier than what Neal Kirkstoic did since he's a one-man doctor. The sheer volume of what we've developed already had given us a lot of headroom to calm ourselves down to meet up with the 49 other doctors who I called for to help us to further develop this cure that'll ease up fine-tuning the small details that will not affect or give the patient any side-effects. With the framework now prepared in these folders to be given to the 49 doctors that will be participating in this project of ours. Two days before the meeting we are observing one of our 'Special' test subjects of whom we considered as a brave man who came to us with his friends just to let him be our next test subject. We are grateful for him that he is volunteering to do this that we have prepared a special room just for him to be tested on. Turns out the test subject has a huge tolerance for drugs so we asked nicely the test subject to allow us to increase his dosage of the drug. He agreed then we began increasing the dosage little-by-little and we observed his behavior after we increase the dosage by a small amount over normal. We finish the observation for today since results won't come overnight so we gave him some time to adapt to the increase in dosage.

Two days later...

"Ma'am they're here! They're waiting in the meeting room now." I replied to one of my assistants. "Sure I'll head there now, and can you prepare us some coffee this will be a long one." The assistant nodded and I headed to the meeting room to meet the 49 doctors that will be promoted to Plague Doctors. "Welcome everyone, as you already know I'm Hailey Kirkstoic and I'm the one who is responsible for the cure that will be used in this plague. I called everyone here today for an announcement of every one of you will be helping the development of the final cure I will promote everyone here to Plague Doctor and each of every one of you will be given a copy of the framework of what we began and you can help us further develop it. Testing will be necessary on this for us to know what we can improve with the medicine, each failure we get from testing will be used for further development. If anyone has any questions you can ask now." A female doctor raised her hand for a question. "Where do we work and if we have any reports where do we deliver it?" I replied. "I was about to say that but great question anyway, we are expected to have two kinds of outputs. One is if the output is ended in failure and or the patient died from side-effects you can send that report to us for further fine-tuning of the mixture. The second output is if the test is successful we hope so, you can send the report to the Oxford branch for final testing to prove that it's safe for everyone. Remember this isn't a competition everyone here will help each other in fixing our common problem which is this plague. Oh, and also if you happen to come across a mutation on the plague report it to us immediately. Any more questions?" The doctors murmured and some are reading the folder containing the framework. Then one of the doctors stood up and said "Should we agree upon a plan now that we have the framework? It seems that we are at a time of Neal Kirkstoic, and miss Hailey would probably agree upon this but we are returning the way it was back when Sir Neal was still alive." I replied. "Thank you for that suggestion and I agree with everything that he said. We need a plan on how we should tackle this during our development of the cure." We continued the meeting of the plan for the next few hours.

Meanwhile on another room down a floor...

"Are you sure Ma'am told you to enhance him with the medicine from the abandoned Project?" As one of the assistants say to Tom. Tom replied. "I'm sure but we're just here to prepare it we still need Ma'am's consent and our Test Subject too. We'll need his help once he's conditioned to our spec to further ease some workload of our team." They nodded to Tom's reply and prepared they began to prepare the medicine for tomorrow...
