Another weekend, another lie I have to tell my parents, that Iris and I are going to the library to work on the project since we’re a bit behind and we need to have it finished by this coming Friday. Some bullsh*t like that.
They believe me, but lying to them constantly about where I’m going leaves me uneasy. That’s just something I’m going to have to live with, right? To make sure that I don’t have to pick up my life and take it somewhere else, somewhere too far away that I won't be able to help Iris, Riley, and Lucian. We’ve come so far to just let it fall apart.
The lives and futures of Mystics everywhere rely on us, even though they may not know it yet.
We stand at the entrance of the woods, waiting for at least a few Mystics to show. It’s an hour after three. How long are we going to wait for them? What if the posters didn’t work? Or they saw the posters and decided to ignore them? What would happen then? We need other Mystics on our side. It can’t just be the four of us.
