TRAILER STARTS:
"Now. The girl. Is she alive?"
"W-what girl? I don't know any girl."
As everyone watched the trailer, the scene of Joel stabbing the man in the leg shocked the audience.
[Oh shit!]
[Joel's so mean?]
[His voice is so deep~]
[Dark Joel]
[Which girl is he after?]
[Mean but classy]
While everyone was still reeling from the trailer, Ellie's gameplay began, showing her shooting an arrow into a man's head, then throwing a bottle and stabbing the man three times in the carotid artery, with blood spraying everywhere. The violence left them stunned.
[It's gory...]
[Not for the faint of heart.]
[Stylish, but it looks difficult.]
[I'm not sure I can handle this...]
As Hylia glanced at her chat from time to time, she began to have doubts about the gameplay. The small text at the bottom indicated that these were images from gameplay that was extremely violent, but she decided to watch the rest anyway.
Fortunately, the next part was less violent and suggested that the game would also have a strong narrative element. However, when the girl said she could handle it and Joel replied that it was just luck, the camera shifted to show Joel pointing a gun at a woman whose lower face and body were covered in blood.
"Oh fuck, are those zombies?" exclaimed Hylia.
But just when she thought that was it, the trailer continued, revealing eyeless zombies with petal-like or mushroom-shaped growths trying to bite someone who was holding them off in a frenzy.
On all the streams, viewers and streamers alike were utterly shocked by the violence and madness in each camera cut, from the human with an inhuman head to the one who took a bullet to the head, with blood mist floating afterward.
Finally, a human ambushes the camera, throwing bricks and an entire cinder block to smash the cameraman's window, shocking viewers into thinking that zombies aren't the only threat.
The trailer continued with short clips of us stabbing a man in the carotid artery, blood flying everywhere, explosion scenes, and most of all, a very compelling dialogue, with Joel's voice questioning how much a life is worth and a teenage girl's voice yelling at him to stop the bullshit and asking what he was so afraid of.
All of this was interspersed with short snippets, as if the developer wanted to show us what we were up against—from a zombie whose leg we ripped off with a shotgun to a colossus charging at us.
From swimming with an unconscious young girl in the water to other insane scenes with quick cuts showing characters who will surely appear in the game.
By the end of the trailer, all the streamers were in shock, their eyes darting between their chats and the video. It only took a few moments for the streamers and viewers to go wild.
[WTF is this game?!]
[If the game is as good as the trailer, it's unreal.]
[The developer is an alien.]
[How do you even develop something like this yourself????]
[Get a shrink to check on the developer, seriously.]
[We need a Naughty Dog live stream.]
[I'm the shrink, and he's unstable.]
[I'm the shrink's table, and I agree with the shrink.]
As the chaos began to die down, the streamers started talking among themselves.
[I've never been this excited about such a violent game.]
[So much blood swirling with every stab—it's shocking...]
"Lia, most of my viewers are asking for an interview with Myth," one of Hylia's friends asked.
"I would ask him—you never know," I said seriously.
"I want to meet Myth, just to see how he did it..."
"Yes, of course, Am'. We'll believe you just want to see how he did it, right?" replied a streamer with a suspicious tone, making most of the others laugh.
While the streamers continued chatting with each other and their viewers, Arthur was very pleased with the message that had just appeared in front of him.
POV of Arthur:
New Mission: Reach 100,000 sales of *The Last of Us Part I
Reward: Daily Mission
Reading what the system had prepared for him, the smile on his lips widened as he saw the reward.
He went to the Steam Manager and saw that his just-released game already had over a hundred pre-orders and even more on the wish list. Knowing that he would soon be financially free and wouldn't have to work anymore filled him with euphoria and a strange sense of fulfillment.
When he first arrived in this world, he wondered what he was going to do, and the fact that his problems had evaporated without him having to do much didn't cause him heartache, but it did leave him feeling like he didn't deserve it.
"I've always been a guilty person, but at this point..." he murmured softly, remembering how sensitive he was.
With all that money, he could do so many things. The first thing that came to mind was a GTR R-35, his dream car, but also a good Harley Davidson, which didn't exist in this world, leaving him with a bittersweet feeling.
He'd always been very close to his family, and not having one was starting to weigh on his heart.
He'd been pretty busy lately, so he'd brushed it off, but now that everything was up and running, the feeling was growing stronger.
In his old world, he had a passion for traveling; he lived in France and visited most Asian countries, but in this world, he could only travel from city to city—it just wouldn't be the same...
"I could create associations for orphans—it would be like having a big family... Do I need affection?" I thought. "Maybe, but now that I have the money and the time, I think it's a good idea."
When I did some research to see if there were any good associations already, I found that since the world had become a bit more peaceful, they were just beginning to create some sort of shelters for orphans. However, these lacked resources or people didn't feel like "wasting" money on them.
"It's a plan," I thought.
While I was researching what to do next in this world, I received a message from James.
"Hi! We're going on an expedition tomorrow. Would you like to come?"
"Don't you need to know how to fight?" I asked.
"Nah, we're not going far, and we'll teach you first. Don't worry."
"Why not? I'm in!"
