The Demonic Curse of the Morana Family

When I reached the kitchen I found that no one was around. They must be outside staring at the body of the maid I threw out the window using my magic. I grin and grab some food for Dolion and I before heading back up to my room. I was washing Dolion when my mother walked into my room.

"Did you kill that maid?" She asks.

"What maid?" I say, acting all innocent.

"The one who's dead body is bleeding out on the stones outside our tower!" Mother snaps, not noticing that Dolion is no longer a normal snake.

"Oooh. THAT maid. Uh yeah, no, I didn't. She threw herself out the window when she saw something she wasn't supposed to see." I say, lying so quickly that I didn't even think about telling the truth.

"She saw Dolion in his demonic form, didn't she?" Mother asks and I nod. "Of course she did. Oh well, next time lock the door to his room from the inside so no one can get in even with a key." She adds.

"Alright, Mother. I'll do that." I reply with a grin.

"I know you will. You don't want anyone finding out about our family "Curse" do you?" She asks, putting curse in quotation marks. I shake my head no and she walks out of my room. I look at Dolion and finish washing him.

Dolion hisses, "I feel ssso much better now, thanksss Missstresss." I smile and pat his head.

"It's no problem my friend. Come, let's watch Mother talk to King Magiio!" I tell Dolion before running to the watch room right above the throne room of our tall tower. I sit down and watch through the one-way glass.
