Blanca's hands lifted as if she would push him away, and Dimitri stifled a curse. Dammit. It didn't take a hundred years of experience to know that she wanted and needed him. Truly and utterly wanted him. He could feel her desire like a tangible force in the air.

She smirked and whispered, "I've been wanting to tell you more about myself since we discussed enjoying ourselves more. I don't know why, but I had just put my past away somewhere and my life has been with you. I have never lied to you, Dimitri. I always answered any question honestly, but you never really asked. Maybe I should have told you anyway, but it didn't seem to matter in our new life."

He nodded and kissed her passionately.

He prepared himself for her ploy, but astonishingly, her hands hesitated and then, ever so slowly, slipped beneath his robe to smooth over the tense muscles in his chest.
