That was the owner of the face which was reflected on the mirror, despite not seeing him before I instantly knew it was him because of his unparalleled beauty and silver hair which was a unique trait of the Kaiser imperial family.

Reynard de Kaiser The second prince of the strong Kaiser empire and the empress only child. was thrown into the outskirts of the empire by his father the emperor who couldn't bear to look at him because he resembled his mother the empress who died giving birth to him.He had lived a quiet and secluded life far away from the imperial capital and his family, till he became 9 years old where he fell into a sudden coma.

"From what I remember Reynard never woke up from his coma, at least while I was alive"

This is really weird, I was not reincarnated like in my previous life but more like transmigrated into Reynard body.I did see this type of thing in novels which I read in my previous life and as a person who has been reincarnated I kind of found it believable. But what I found weird is that I was in the world where I lived my first life yet as a different person.I started to wonder what of my real body and whether Reynard soul was residing in it.

but now that I think about it. It's not like it confirmed that this is the world of my first life I just assumed it was because of the familiar feeling I had, and this body might not actually be Reynard after all I did not really see him before.

The door suddenly opened, and there stood a tall good looking young man with black hair and dark green eyes.

"...y..yo-your highness "

The young man stuttered in shock. While staring at me with wide eyes.

I was surprised at his sudden appearance that I froze in place.

He suddenly ran toward me and barely stopped at the edge of the bed he then looked at me with eyes filled with so many emotions. a couple of minutes passed like that. then the young man started a barrage of questions.

"Your highness are you alright?"

"How do you feel?"

"Do you need anything ?"

"When did you wake up?"

He looked baffled and uncertain ,I was also stunned not expecting his sudden appearance.

Not knowing what to do I decided to pretend to have lost my memories, that seems cliche and all but that was the only way I could go about this , since I was not actually the owner of this body and did not know who this young man is.

"I .. I apologize but I don't seem to remember anything "

I said with an awkward smile.

The young man was quite shocked seemingly not expecting this outcome.

"...I see "

He looked really sad when he realized what I said. But tried to school his expression, not wanting to make me feel bad apparently.

"Alfred what is the matter? Who are you talking to?"

An old man dressed like a butler said while entering the room.

As his eyes fell on me he froze there for a while not being able to say anything. Before I knew it the old butler appeared right in front of me with teary eyes and grabbed my hands falling to his knees.

"Your highness...your highness prince Reynard "

So I was really prince Reynard. How annoying it really was my first world and I was a second child for the third time an unlucky one too.but why am I in Reynard body and what of my own, also what the situation in this world now I need to know whether the curse has reached here .oh! Or More like whether the hero was summoned or not ,since it was before the curse started to spread its roots into the continent .

The old butler started crying and mumbling, I felt troubled not knowing what to do in such a situation,I unconsciously looked at the young man seeking help. He was looking away with his face down,And I heard faint sobbing. Not knowing what to do I just quietly waited for them to calm down.

After a couple of minutes the old butler stopped crying got up and let go of my hands.

"I apologize for showing such a disgraceful sight in front of your highness"

He wiped his eyes and looked at me with a warm smile full of affection, it somehow felt weird to be looked at like that by a stranger.

"His highness seems to have lost his memories"

The old butler turned to Alfred in shock after hearing those words that came out of his mouth.he then turned track to me . He seemed quite surprised and did not know how to react to the news.

It made feel bad so I decided to say something.

"I apologize I seemed to have caused great distress "

"N...n-no way your highness what are you saying!"

"The old man's is right your highness, having you awake again is more then enough"

The two of them tried to reassure me with everything they got,I could not help but smile at their efforts.

well for now let's get to know those people and what is going on around here.I need to get a grasp of what Is going on.

"Then...first may I ask who the two of you are?"

The old butler smiled and introduced himself first.

"This old man with a mustache is called Bernard hill. And Is your highnesses personal butler and has been with your highness since birth"

Is the part about the mustache necessary..

"And I am your highnesses knight Alfred lister"

I see he is a knight it kind suits him

"I see it's nice to meet you I guess ?"

I said with an awkward smile. The two of them smiled towards me and bowed.

"Yes it is nice to see your highness once again"

they kept bowing for a while so I had no choice but to tell them to rise.

"Please rise."

The two of them rose .

I was thinking about how to go about things and what I should ask about .when Bernard suddenly spoke.

"your highness how are you feeling now?"

ah right I just woke up from a long slumber. no wonder I've been feeling kind of fatigued and uncomfortable.

"A bit tired I suppose "

Thinking about it for a body that had been in deep sleep for a couple of years at least, it seems to be pretty healthy it also looks like it grown quite well. looking at the mirror that is resting next to the bed I believe the body is that of a teenager or a bit older.the arms and legs can be moved around without pain or much difficulty.there seems to be a magic barrier around the bed and room the one around the room seems to be for safety while the one around the bed seems to contain nutrients and healing magic.I suppose thanks to it the body is healthy and well.

"I'm sure you are you need to rest will bring whatever your highnesses wish for"

suddenly Alfred entered the room with a tray containing types of food that are easy to digest.

when did he..!

"You need to eat something first your highness"

Stated Alfred while placing the tray on the bed's table.

After eating my fill. I finally asked what I was most curious about.

"How long have I been asleep?"

In my first life prince Reynard was five years younger then me, and I was fourteen years old when he entered the coma, things started going downhill a bit after my 25th birthday .

"It has been ten years since your highness fell into coma"

Shit I have less then two years before the curse starts spreading its roots in our continent.that damn curse which swallowed the whole alaric continent. and all those who tried to know it's origin and source disappeared without a trace. The world final hope was the hero who was summoned to save the continent according to the oracle the holy maiden received. Unfortunately I had died without knowing anything.

okay let's get things straight its been ten years since Reynard fell into coma so it would be the 4019's year in the calendar. Thinking about it around this time in my first life I had been walking the rope between life and death, would it be that I died this time and somehow ended up in Reynard body...ahhhhh! This such a headache who cares, let's think about surviving this time.if by chance we managed to overcome the curse a rose colored life would be awaiting me.a life without responsibilities and obligations.I will make sure the first prince becomes emperor and ask for a great compensation for all I had suffered, and I'll also have the hero do his job and stop the damn curse at any rate and finally get to live a good and lazy life for once.
