The discovery
Zeriel carefully took out the box from the hidden compartment in the back of his closet. The box was small, made of an intricately carved wood, and had a lock that seemed more ornamental than functional. Zeriel plugged in the diffuser as he sat on his bed, he held the box in his hands, observing it closely.
The lock on the box caught Zeriel's attention. It was unlike any lock he had ever seen before. It was not a keyhole, but rather a pattern that seemed to require a specific key to open it. Zeriel looked at the pattern closely, his eyes tracing the delicate lines and curves. It seemed familiar to him - like he had seen it somewhere before.
