keeping his distance

Zeriel had just walked into the company together with his assistant Bryan who drove him to work. Bryan was a few meters away from Zeriel holding some documents in his hands. As Zeriel arrived on the last floor heading towards his office.

He walks past Alisha who was standing beside the coffee machine,she immediately turns to greet her boss who was on a foreign call, he was speaking mandarin as he hurriedly walked past her without glancing towards her direction or responding to her greetings. Bryan walks past her trying to catch up with Zeriel as he waves At her. "Good morning Alisha" he greeted. "Good morning" alisha replied back as she held the cup of coffee in her right hand and walked towards her office.

 She was quite astonished that Zeriel could speak other languages,that was a new discovery about him. She wondered why Zeriel was absent from work for some days.
