SILENT DAYS

Several days passed by without any activity happening at the NIA, and as the days passed by, the friendship and bond between Samuel and Reece kept growing each day. It had been three months now and there was no activity from the Outcasts and no one was investigating the case of the Black Diamond, and this troubled Reece a lot because if the legend of the diamond was true and the outcasts were able to harness its power, it would cause a lot of chaos in the country.

Samuel noticed the look on Reece's face as there was no work to be done in the office and asked him, "Why the long face bro?" Reece then opened up to him and shared with him the matter that troubled his mind.

Samuel told him not to bother about that because he learned that, according to history, if an individual was not worthy of possessing the diamond, its power would not be activated "unless", as he stopped to think with an unusual look on his face, "Unless what Sam?" Reece asks out of curiosity and Samuel says, "Legend has it that the only ones capable of activating its power are people from the bloodline of King Nkrumah."

Hearing this got Reece alarmed as they became traumatized by the issue.

"Could this be why the Outcasts haven't struck in months? Are they looking for people from the bloodline of Nkrumah?", questions they asked themselves as they went straight up to Mr. Norman. He told them that there were other important cases to be solved, rather than chasing a legend, which could be 80% false, In addition, he told them to stop wasting their time on that case and continue the jobs given to them.

Upon hearing this from Mr. Norman, they still had it in mind to find ways to uncover the case of the black diamond.

They left Mr.Norman's office and had it in mind to start tracking the bloodline of King Nkrumah.

"We can't give up on this. If we do not do something about this and sit around, a time will come when we wouldn't have anything to investigate cause they'll take over and there'll be nothing we can do at that time. If he's not going to help us, I think we have to take matters into our own hands to save our country and the world from these so-called outcasts."

Reece said to Samuel as they began working to find clues to guide them in cracking the case.

Will Reece and Samuel come across anything or anyone that will lead them to find the last bloodline before the outcast do? Or will they be too late save the world?

We'll find out in the next chapter. Keep Reading.
