SELECTED OR CURSE?

They finally arrived at the National Museum of Ancient Tradition and noticed that the place had been surrounded by the police, who told them, "We've got them surrounded. The moment they step out, we get them. We've also evacuated the area so that no one else gets hurt."

"What do you mean, no one else?" Mr.Norman asked. "The workers in the museum, we believe, are either dead or injured because we heard gunshots from the building when we arrived here," they reply. "Sir, we have to go in now before it's too late." Reece expressed concern to Mr.Norman that by the time they came out, the outcasts would have succeeded and been powerful and there would be nothing they could do to stop them.

"Reece, just listen to orders, and let's wait till they come out and then we attack." Mr.Norman warned him and told him not to do anything silly. Reece had no option but to follow orders and wait till they came out, knowing very well that it would not end well for them. He went back into the patrol van and waited as he was told to do with Samuel and Dr. Manuel.

It was 11:50 and Reece began to run out of patience and noticed that the color of the moon had changed to red. He informed Dr. Manuel and asked him what it meant. "It's the blood moon. If you guys don't act quickly, that'll be the end and there's nothing you can do to stop them," said Dr. Manuel.

"Oh no, it's now 11:55, five minutes more to midnight. I can't sit here and do nothing. I'm going in." Reece said, after running out of patience, and got out of the patrol van and was followed by Samuel and the police force. They went through the entrance and the outcasts began shooting at them. "Everyone!, take cover!" said Mr. Norman as they all found places to hide to avoid getting shot at.

Reece and Samuel took cover at the same place and tried to eliminate some of the outcasts to get to the ritual hall, which was located at the center of the museum.

"Cover me, I'll get to the ritual hall and stop the ritual from happening," Reece told Samuel as he moved towards the ritual hall. He eventually got there and, lucky enough for him, there was no one guarding the entrance. He hides behind the entrance and takes a look at his watch, and noticed it was midnight

As he observed what was happening, he identified the leader of the outcasts, three other members, including the informant, who escaped when they rescued Dr. Manuel, and young George, who was at gunpoint, and was told to keep quiet and comply or else he'd be killed. One of the members of the outcasts, who happened to be the clan's ritualist, took George's hand, cut his palm, and squeezed his blood to allow it to drip onto the diamond, which had been placed on the floor exposed to the blood moon. Then something happened. The diamond, after the blood spilled on it, heated up and evaporated the blood and then began to glow and suspend in the air.

Reece entered and pointed his gun at the ritualist and said, "Let the boy go and surrender yourselves." They smiled and said to him, "You can have him, we have no use for him anymore" they pushed him towards Reece and as the leader of the outcasts tried to grab the diamond and harness its power, Reece, who was at gunpoint, shot the arm of the leader and told George to run as he took cover and run to grab the diamond and suddenly when he got close to the diamond, the blood moon shone much brighter and he suspended into the air and the diamond penetrated straight into his chest and is attached to him, causing him to fall unconscious. He disappeared and reappeared instantly. This incident happened due to the fact that he was taken into the spirit world to be assessed by the god's ;the timelines of the physical world and the spiritual world were different fso a lot had happened within that short period.

The police and the NIA successfully defeated the outcasts and entered, running into George and they asked him where Reece was. They were directed by George to the ritual hall, where, unfortunately, the leader of the outcasts had escaped, and they found Reece lying down on the floor, which caused panic to Samuel, who rushed to check on him. To his relief, Reece was still alive and they get him into the ambulance for healthcare. They notice the diamond on his chest but kept their mouths shut on it and covered him up.
