Despair

Back to Serena's Pov

"Are you okay Serena, wait I'm coming." Micheal screamed to me.

As Micheal was trying to run towards me, use branches of leaves holded him up.

"Shit, what's going on? Why the heck I can't move?" Micheal shouted.

The same thing started happening with Maria. I can't move on either.

Micheal started using all his strength to get rid of the branches, while Maria started chanting something.

I was too stunned after what I saw that I didn't knew what to do or what to say.

Suddenly everything started becoming hazely and fog started coming from nowhere. Nothing could have been seen. From that fog I heard a voice.

It was Maria's voice

"Listen Serena to me carefully, the Universe can hear you, it can understand you. Try to convince the universe that your motive is to only save the world. REMEMBER FORTUNE FAVORS THE BRAVE, BE BRAVE."

I wasn't able understand what was going on, everything started fading in the background. Neither was I able to hear anyone's voice nor able see anything. It was raining heavily and I could feel darkness everywhere around.

Suddenly something grapped my legs and I felt on the ground. I wasn't able to understand what was going on. It felt like thousand needles were poked into my body altogether. I tried getting up but I wasn't able to. It was hurting me up like hell. I started crying up and struggling up in pain. I was praying to God that someone come and rescue me from pain but after twenty minutes or so I lost all hopes. Nothing was left except for despair. The pain had already paralyzed me physically but the despair had broken up my heart.

'So this is end, there is no way I get out of this but I hope my friends go safely to their home. I leaned everyone into big trouble. I'm sorry Uncle. I wasn't able to do anything for you. I couldn't have saved you. I really sorry.' I thought to myself.

Just then everything was getting dizzy, I heard a voice.

"Serenaaa" someone screamed

"Uncle Benjamin?" I said with all the energy left in my body.

"Serena" I heard the voice again As someone was approaching me with a dim flashlight. I saw him, it was Alan and not Uncle Benjamin. For few seconds I thought Uncle Ben but-

"Serena, are you okay my dear?" Alan said with the most concerning voice and started helping me get up

'So it wasn't over yet, I still had hope, hope to survive, hope that I can fight.' I thought to myself.

"It's not the end Serena, it just the beginning my dear. You need to fight. You can't give up." Alan said

"Huh-" I said as I wasn't able to understand how he was able to hear my thoughts or was I loud enough?

He gently thought my string of wet hair as it looked in my eyes. Yes it wasn't a time of thinking about Romance and stuff... and he was just doing it because he was concerned but it literally felt thousands of butterflies in my stomach... so hilarious right? A person who cringed on the name of romance felt butterflies when she was badly injurted badly by God knows what energy.

He gaved his end and help me get up. It was like all the pain had vanished from my body.

"How are you Serena?" Alan asked

"Hmm fine but those needles?" I said and looked at myself. There was nothing, no needles, no bruises. Absolutely Nothing.

"What happened." He asked

"Nothing" I replied

"SERENA LOOKED THERE" pointing towards something.
