More Pain

"Good morning, You Ren!" Wang Huanling greeted Xiao You Ren. The man had just returned to work after three days of taking a day off due to illness.

 Xiao You Ren smiled faintly in response to the greeting. Hastily sat in his chair and started the computer. His hands deftly moved the mouse and worked quickly to catch up, doing the work that had piled up for three days. He looked excited, not only was he busy at work, but Xiao You Ren was trying hard to avoid the thoughts that had been bugging him the past few days. Don't want to get carried away in sadness, even though until this moment his heart feels sore. Every time her memory came close to touching that day, the pain radiated from her leg to the bone. And Xiao You Ren didn't want things to get messy just because of a matter of the heart.

 Regarding grief, let it overwhelm his night and invite pain in his body. Xiao You Ren was just trying to live as normal a life as possible, like there had never been someone he loved and just walked away. Let's just say he was running away from reality, but Xiao You Ren was indeed selfish. Saved so many bad emotions to serve to yourself. Don't want to share with anyone, don't want to tell about anything. He was just too cowardly, to treat himself unfairly. However, Xiao You Ren is still himself who can't do anything, can't be selfish to get and keep what he should have.

 Time flies fast on its axis. Someone who is too serious often leaves things behind. Small or big. And Xiao You Ren left his lunch time. Several other employees had already offered their invitations to him, but he was trying too hard for stupid things to ignore the surroundings. People may feel natural, when they see it is very rushed in doing the task.

 "Xiao You Ren!" someone called out his name. Making the person concerned slightly flinched and tried to glance at the person. Zhao Yuzi walked up to him with a paper bag. Some employees are already sitting in their chairs and some are still enjoying their break.

 "What is it?" asked Xiao You Ren when the girl was already standing beside his chair. The man's attention was still on his computer and ignored the existence of other people, this made Zhao Yuzi furious. With a light tug she pulled Xiao You Ren's face to look at her. The man frowned and a raised eyebrow followed.

 "What's wrong, Yuzi? I still have a lot of work to do."

 The corners of Zhao Yuzi's lips twitched, what a passionate desire to spit out swear words. Too bad there were so many people around them, there was no way she would abandon her etiquette just because of a piece of bony meat in front of her. She moved the hand holding the paper bag and then placed the paper bag on Xiao You Ren's desk.

 "Eat it, I bought you some brown bread."

 Xiao You Ren responded with a small nod.

 "Now!" Zhao Yuzi ordered. Released his grip on Xiao You Ren's cheek. The man complied, although at first he seemed reluctant.

 Zhao Yuzi peeked at Xiao You Ren's computer screen and noticed the man's work. "You Ren, I have a little more work to do. When I'm done I'll help you, okay."

 "No need. It can't be possible anyway," Xiao You Ren refused gently. His mouth returned to chewing bread quickly, like someone being chased by a shadow.

 "Yes, but I can still help you. Just give Phi John a wink and it's all over. He gave me permission. Done."

 "No need, Yuzi. Our divisions are different."

 "I can help you to … be friends to chat with, massage your shoulders and more."

 Xiao You Ren couldn't believe the girl's stubbornness, even though she had faced this kind of thing many times. All Xiao You Ren could do after that was only sigh roughly and move his lips. "That would only be annoying," he said a little lazily. Xiao You Ren quickly chewed the food in his mouth.

 Zhao Yuzi snorted. Still not giving up on going to Xiao You Ren when she was done with her work. After confirming that Xiao You Ren was going to eat up the bun, Zhao Yuzi decided to leave.

 Wang Huanling had been watching them quietly begin to approach Xiao You Ren. He could no longer contain the curiosity in his heart. Zhao Yuzi's treatment of Xiao You Ren really invited suspicion in his mind. So when the girl had disappeared from behind the door, Wang Huanling decided to seek the truth from Xiao You Ren. He shifted his chair slightly and whispered, "You Ren, Yuzi is your girlfriend, right?"

 Xiao You Ren's eyes widened, he almost choked on the bread. His attention centered on the man next to him who looked relaxed. Xiao You Ren firmly shook his head and replied, "No. No way. And never will."

 "Oh I see." It was obvious that Wang Huanling wanted to prolong this matter, but was dissuaded from that. Seeing Xiao You Ren's serious face when he said that, it touched a bit of his confidence. Like it or not, he was silent again. They continued their work.

 So far Xiao You Ren had not heard any rumors about Zheng Liam and that made him undecided. Either happy because they don't know anything about the man, or sad because they don't know anything about the reason for his move. Xiao You Ren sighed heavily for the umpteenth time that day. Even though he was trying to focus on his computer, there was still room for his mind to be filled with other things.

 When everyone rushed out of the room to return to their respective homes, Xiao You Ren was still motionless in front of his computer. As usual, so focused on work and ignoring the people around him. Even Zhao Yuzi had been sitting in the seat next to him since an hour ago. The girl really helped him in doing some work with his laptop. So that Xiao You Ren's work was a little quicker and he could go home.

 The hour hand was already pointing at five. The sky outside was already dark. Towards winter the night so quickly greeted the earth. Xiao You Ren took his thick jacket from the locker and put it on, outside the staff room Zhao Yuzi waited while moving his cell phone mouse.

 "Yuzi, come on!" take Xiao You Ren. Step ahead of the girl.

 "You Ren, let's have dinner first, shall we. There's a booming restaurant nearby." Zhao Yuzi had just seen the restaurant from his social media and read reviews from customers who had eaten there. His curiosity always rises whenever he finds things that many people are looking for, especially about food. So he decided to take Xiao You Ren with him.

 The one who was invited was initially indifferent, didn't mind about it, but when he recalled the incident at that time his mouth immediately moved. "No, the restaurant of my choice is better."

It was not without reason that Xiao You Ren had rejected her. The last time Zhao Yuzi recommended a restaurant to him and Zheng Liam, it ended with them entering a strange place. Yes, couples restaurant. Xiao You Ren didn't want that to happen again.

 Zhao Yuzi pursed her lips, but didn't protest. They walked to the elevator and waited for the door to open. Someone is in the elevator. Johnny looks very disheveled and messy, the bags under his eyes are thick like a panda. "Ah, Xiao You Ren," said Johnny. He watched the two people enter the elevator and stood nearby.

 "Phi John, looks a mess." Xiao You Ren first broke their awkwardness in the elevator. Seeing the state of his superiors there was no way Xiao You Ren would not feel worried and wonder.

 Johnny just smiled awkwardly in response. Work problems that have piled up and made him stressed lately, coupled with personal matters. Really overwhelmed Johnny with reality. Xiao You Ren's shady gaze gave him a hint of hope. And an idea popped into his head.

 "You Ren, there's something I want to talk to you about," Johnny said suddenly. He glanced at Zhao Yuzi, who gave him a menacing glare. Johnny ignored her.

 "About what, Phi John?" One of Xiao You Ren's eyebrows rise. It was rare for Johnny to act like this.

 "No big deal, I'm just asking for a little help."

 Xiao You Ren nodded his head and agreed. "I'll help if I can."
