CHAPTER 13- EYES REFUSED TO WANDER ELSEWHERE

"Um, if we are. Then are we allowed to?"

 "Of course, you are!" Ezekiel saw that the little boy was lacking a teeth in front. And that made him look more adorable. And then the kid said with more excitement, "And you have come at the perfect time! We are having a feast today!"

The little kids excitement was so contagious that it instantly made the other two men's mood happy too.

Amir looked at Ezekiel and said with shining eyes, "Chief, we should join them. These kids are inviting us so earnestly." Ezekiel gave his right hand man a side eyed look and smirked before saying, "Amir, you can just tell me the truth and say that you can smell the aroma of the delicious delicacies and want to join them with all your heart. You don't have to use these little kids as your excuse."

Seeing that his intentions didn't remain so hidden anymore, he just laughed it off lamely. And the two men joined the other people of the tribe. Having been around them often from their young ages, they did not take to get along with those people. And even tribe's people were very welcoming of them. They soon got along with them and got involved in a conversation.

"So, you have visiting the town there…" One of the men nodded his head in understanding hearing Ezekiel and Amir.

Amir nodded his head and then asked curiously. "So, you all have a feast like this quite often or is it something special today." He asked eyeing the musical instruments that were at the side. It was apparent that they were play it later.

The surrounding was very harmonious.

And on being asked that, the men's expressions turned of one of the happy one, and one of them laughed an said, "We have a young lady visiting us from the town. She visits us quite often. And though we have nothing very special to celebrate today, it was her proposal to celebrate having 'nothing to celebrate'. That was what she said.."

Hearing that Ezekiel and Amir too smiled. Amir laughed and said, "It seems that the young lady has a really weird way of taking things."

"Weird but fun way." Ezekiel commented from the side.

The other middle aged men nodded their heads from the side and said, "Yes, and though she looks to have come from a very distinguished family, she is very kind and sweet young lady.

Haha… and today she has made most of us work here and there. Young or old, every one were assigned duties. We completed ours and are relaxing. The other fellows are still working. The young men are maybe cutting the woods, or helping other women in their cooking."

And then they went on telling a little more about the young, kind young lady. Who was really a ball of excitement.

And as they heard them, Ezekiel's brows raised ever so slightly wondering who was such a lively girl. "What is her name, Sire?" Just then Amir asked. 

"Oh, her name is…"

But just before he could say, they heard a sweet voice from the side, "Everyone! Ameera is back! Everyone get the place ready… The food is ready to be served!"

The pretty Ameera walked in their holding a big pot of something warm. And just when Ezekiel turned his head towards her, the first thing that he saw was her lively smile. And all he felt was that he might be infatuated by her. So beautiful.

And the way, Ezekiel got hooked there, his eyes refused to leave her for the rest of the night.
