The Soft Side

Kaiya woke up in the camp to sounds of hitting wood. Kaiya checked the camp and saw that Brandon was gone. Kaiya ran to the sounds and she found Brandon swinging his fists at a tree. The tree had a huge dent in it. Kaiya looked closely and saw Brandon was crying. Brandon whats wrong, said kaiya worried. Brandon wiped his face and said, nothing kaiya just go back to sleep. Kaiya knew something was wrong. Brandon has never cried before. no one has seen him cry. Brandon i know something is wrong, said kaiya stopping his fist from hitting the tree. kaiya looked at Brandon's hand. his hand was purple and bleeding and so was the other hand. "Brandon you have never cried not even at your uncle's funeral, brothers funeral, or your mother's. so tell me what is wrong",kaiya said. Brandon lowered his fists and said,"its nothing kaiya don't worry about it". Brandon walked back to camp and layed down. Kaiya went back to sleep very worried.
