The Changeling: A Quest For Time

What happens when the human race turns small, small enough to become buddies with butterflies? Our protagonist finds himself within a cotton fibre, one that was large enough to blanket the skies. His wife that was within arm’s reach a minute ago had now disappeared. Embarking on a journey to reunite with his wife and one-year-old son, our protagonist arrives at the edge of a cliff. But, the landscape he presumed to be a cliff actually turned out to be the edge of his couch. He had shrunk to such an extent that his TV remote looked bigger than him. Things that were taken for granted before now necessitated life and death struggles as our protagonist searches for his family while trying to survive the onslaught of various insects, each of which were now as huge as him. -------------------------------- Join our discord server: https://discord.gg/Q544Bxu -------------------------------- Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/overlord_venus Support me through Paypal: https://paypal.me/OverlordVenus

Zombie Transformation (Part-2)

'Thump'

The dried-up corpse of a man fell on the webbed floor and bounced once due to the impact. The bluish figure cackled with a burst of raspy laughter as it gazed with desire at the three insects that sped in the air along three different directions. Two of the three insects were dragon-flies whereas the last one was a mosquito.

The bluish figure sped in the air and pounced on the mosquito first. The mosquito barely managed to dodge its initial lunge and entered into a gap in the net made from spider silk towards the third floor. it knew that the chances of its survival were next to zero had it chosen to fly towards the base, that's why it used its tiny mosquito body to enter into one of the gaps that had formed in the spider web possibly due to the recent battle. The gap was too small for the bluish figure to pass through, so it was safe for the current time period.

"I need to inform the leader," The mosquito thought as it began to fly towards another route that lead to the fourth floor.

The humanoid eyes of the bluish figure gazed at one of its prey that had entered a small gap in the troublesome sticky net and escaped beyond its visual range. The bluish figure shook its head in regret and chased after the two dragon-flies instead.

'Bzzz'

Its flapping insect wings made a cacophony of buzzing sounds as it streaked in the air and rapidly closed in on one of the two dragon-flies.

'Rip'

Using the sharp projections that grew at the tip of its fingers, the bluish figure swiped its hands towards its escaping prey and managed to scratch the dragonfly's wings.

The escaping dragonfly momentarily lost its balance which the bluish figure made good use of to land a solid punch at its abdomen.

The abdomen of the dragonfly cracked as traces of blood leaked out which spurred its damaged wings to flap faster.

'Kekekeke'

The bluish figure didn't pause in its relentless assault as it mainly focused on attacking the wings of its escaping prey while sometimes landing a critical hit on its abdomen.

The bluish figure laughed creepily as its stinger stabbed into the head of the dragonfly, once, twice, and thrice until the dragonfly dissolved to reveal a teenage girl who didn't have a wisp of life-force remaining within her. She had died under the relentless attacks of the bluish figure which actually damaged her main body more than it did to her transformation.

The bluish figure plunged its mouthpart into the heart of the teenage girl and voraciously devoured all of her body fluids until only a dry husk remained.

Satisfied, the bluish figure dropped the dry husk and shot towards the remaining dragon-fly.

"You monster!" A youth that looked no different from a teen bellowed in rage as he transformed into a wasp and collided into the bluish figure. He was one of the people who came to know in advance of the appearance of the bluish figure through the teen who had transformed into a mosquito and escaped. The youth immediately rushed towards the location to reinforce the others when he saw his friend getting devoured by the monster.

"Arvind, don't charge in recklessly. That zombie's too strong for you," The man that had accompanied the youth addressed as Arvind tried to warn the youth, but his words of caution fell on deaf ears as rage clouded the mind of Arvind.

Seeing his friend together with whom he shared many precious memories get viciously devoured by this monstrosity, Arvind vowed to kill it and make it suffer in hell.

"Eeee," The wasp let out a buzzing noise that felt more like a cry of anger as its stinger stabbed towards the bluish figure.

"Kekeke," The bluish figure laughed eerily as it deftly avoided the stinger and clenched its sharp fingers into a fist and rammed it into its foe.

The body of the wasp cracked a little under the impact as traces of blood leaked out from its orifices. Without caring about its injuries, the wasp once again lunged forward while it aimed its stinger at the face of the bluish figure.

The humanoid eyes of the bluish figure sneered in disdain as its fingers once again curled up into a fist and sent a straight right towards its foe.

Just when its fist had impacted upon the charging wasp body, its eyes widened in surprise when the wasp body dissolved into purple smoke to reveal a pair of hands that stretched out from within and grabbed hold of its wings.

'Rip'

In a display of monstrous strength, the youth ripped open one of the wings of the bluish figure as a purple snake with a spider head plunged into its body.

The bluish figure roared in anger as its sharp hands pierced into the stomach of the youth and drew out copious amounts of purple blood.

A thin streak of purple blood leaked out of his mouth as the youth used his hands to firmly hold the two bluish hands that had pierced through his stomach as a smile formed on his face.

After losing one of its wings, the bluish figure failed to maintain its flight anymore and began to fall through the air along with the youth its hands had pierced into.

The bluish figure struggled to free its hands but the vice-like grip of the youth refused to let go while the purple snake that had entered its body began to devour its muscle mass with relish. Even though the bluish figure couldn't feel pain, it felt fear when it gazed at the murderous eyes of the youth that was resolved enough to take down its life barring all costs.

Its stinger stabbed into the right knee of the youth and sent a stream of poison tricking into his bloodstream.

"Guh," Starting from the regions of his thigh, intense pain and a numbing sensation coursed through his body as he felt his strength waning away. Moreover, the speed of descent and their tussle that resulted in them to spin in the air jumbled his senses and almost made him faint.

Purple smoke gushed out of the pores on his body and transformed his back into a set of dragonfly wings which began to flap at high frequencies and tried to regain some aerial stability.

"Arvind!" The man that accompanied Arvind transformed into a dragonfly and raced through the air in order to provide him some support. Everything had occurred so fast that he couldn't even participate in the battle till now.

When he neared the falling duo, his transformation immediately dissolved while only a pair of dragonfly wings remained at his back.

The man swerved around the tussling and turning duo and finally managed to grab ahold of the bluish figure's stinger and began to pull at it with all his strength.

The man was shocked to find that the stinger was completely lodged into the youth's thighs and didn't seem to come off no matter how much strength he exerted into his hands. The man then made eye contact with the youth as his wings flapped in conjunction with the youth's and oriented themselves in the air.

One hand of his clutched the mouthpart of the bluish figure that had been repeatedly trying to plunge into the youth in failure while his other hand held the stinger and lifted them towards their base.

Unfortunately, he neither had a mini Victoris with him nor could he transform into a wasp so he couldn't actually help the youth to finish off the bluish figure so he spurred his wings to flap as fast as it could and flew towards their base.

"Just hold on for a little longer, the leader is on the way," The man shouted with hope as purple smoke gushed into his eyes which transformed it into the eyes of an unknown creature and spotted almost 30-40 wasps flying in their direction accompanied by a pigeon.

Just when hope relit his eyes, his head was abruptly severed from his body.

"Kumar!" Arvind despaired as he saw another bluish figure that had appeared out of thin air lift the severed head of his colleague and lick at the purple blood that leaked out from it.

The flapping wings of the now dead man continued to flap without pause as it seemed to want to bring him towards safety no matter what, even after death.

Arvind saw two more bluish figures streak through the air and hover just beside the one that ate the human head in its hands with relish.

"Aaarrgh," Arvind bellowed with rage when his mini Victoris suddenly increased in body volume as a massive amount of purple smoke gushed into it and strengthened it. It then began to consume the body mass of the bluish figure with even more vigour.

His free left leg then rained down knee kicks on the chest of the bluish figure while his mouth bit down onto the mouthpart and crushed it. His teeth cracked under one bite but Arvind didn't seem to care and continued to further bite the mouthpart into pieces.

The other three bluish figures rushed towards the rescue of its companion when a pigeon slammed into them and sent them flying.

The sharp claws of the pigeon then ripped apart the head of the bluish figure and carried the wounded body of Arvind along with the other two and sped towards the horde of charging wasps.

"One dead, and the other critical," Prakash, who had been fastened to the back of the pigeon's neck with a piece of cloth relayed the information he observed and delivered the trio consisting of the critically wounded Arvind, the headless Kumar, and the bluish figure with a shredded head to a couple of females who immediately began the treatment process for Arvind.

When he saw the bloodied state of Arvind and the headless corpse of the other man whose dragon-fly wings on his back still continued to flap despite death, something boiled from deep within the heart of Vikram.

The wasp at the lead dissolved its transformation into purple smoke and only left its wings to continue hovering in the air as it gazed at the three bluish figures that were overwhelming the pigeon that Prakash desperately controlled.

"Everyone, lend me all your Pigeon Karma. And get more from the three corpses in our base," Vikram bellowed as the huge Victoris materialised in the air beside him.

"Yes!" All the wasps dissolved their transformations until only their wings remained as the mini Victoris materialised in the air beside all of them.
