CHAPTER 68: DEVAN CORPORATION REAL HEIR.

As the reporters has left the room is back to been quiet. Eve turns to Charlie and said,

"Thank you for helping me" Eve said.

"Why thank me, as a dutiful husband I can't allow people to disrespect and bully my beautiful wife" Charlie said going closer to Eve.

"What are you doing?" Eve asked moving backward as Charlie moves forward.

"What do you think I am doing?" Charlie asked smiling slyly.

"I.. I don't know" Eve said stammering as she spoke.

"Shouldn't my beautiful wife reward me for helping her" Charlie said.

"What.. what do you want?" Eve said but regretted it immediately.

"I want my wife to help me with a little problem" Charlie said, by now he was already close to Eve on the bed.

"What pro...blem" Eve said, her voice cracking.

"This" Charlie said grabbing her hand and direct it towards his lower region. Eve noticed where Charlie is bringing her hand to and tries to remove her hand but Charlie refused to let go.

"Why resisting, it's not like you haven't touched it before" Charlie said.

"Must you remind me! I know!" Eve shouted.

Charlie laughed at Eve's reaction and did not fail to think that she was very cute when she is angry.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Eve asked when she noticed the way Charlie is looking at her with gentle eyes.

"Because you are cute, little bunny" Charlie said pinching her cheeks and Eve is cheeks becomes red.

Charlie stands up from the bed and said, "come let's freshen up and leave, it's already late" he goes to take a shower. Few minutes he came out and Eve goes in and they both leave the hotel heading to the company.

The whole city is in frenzy about the latest news update about the wife of Charles Powell who happens to be the daughter and only child of the original owner of Devan corporation but the present CEO George Anderson did not say anything about the company being owned by someone else, or did he steal the company from the original owner? They are eager to find out.

"What! Eve is who?" George shocked at what his wife just told him.

"She is Charles's wife" Sofia said while lamenting, here goes her dream of becoming the in-law of the Powell's.

"This can not be happening now" George sank into his chair almost crying.

"So what do we do?" Sofia said.

"First of all, we need to make Eve forgive us so we can be able to use her to get close to Charles and when we achieve that, we take care of her immediately because we can't afford to miss out being the in- laws to the Powell family." George said.

"Yes our daughter is the rightful wife to Charles Powell" Sofia said smiling slyly.

There was a knock on the door and George secretary comes in.
