Meena had already called the Police and two of the officers were appointed to patrol the area, not to let any stranger near their home. Their personal guards were on high alert too.
Zyair and Skyla alighted their car and went straight inside, Meena was waiting with puffy red eyes. She had been crying nonstop.
"I am so sorry, Zyair." She quickly approached him and he let her hug him.
Skyla stood by their side as Meena cried in her son's chest, too burdened with the thoughts of what he must be going through. He stood frozen for a few moments, eyes containing that forlorn look as he battled tears. He didn't want to cry in front of his mother. No words came to his mouth for so long.
"It's not your fault. You protected me for so long," he finally spoke in a broken voice, it singed the ladies' hearts.
Skyla rubbed Meena's back and she sniffled before separating from Zyair. She wiped her tears, her body shook as they all went inside.
