It's against protocols," she explained and Liam nodded. "No one would know we did it, right? I won't tell and surely you won't," he said and Fiona looked at him incredulously. "I guess you're drunk," she said flatly and he nodded and stood up. He walked closer to her and whispered to her ears, causing goosebumps to sprout all over her body. "Yes, I'm drunk and you're the only one that can sober me up right now. So, how much?" he asked and Fiona gave him a confused look. What was he asking? How much what? Did she tell him she was selling anything to him? She mused as her brows drew together. "How much? How much for what?" she asked and he ran his finger down her cheek, making it hard for her to concentrate. "How much would it cost me to have my cock buried inside you....." before he could finish, a hot-sounding slap landed on his face, causing him to turn to the side.

Elena

Fiona didn't have the time to think about what Liam had done since Mary was standing across from her, waiting to lead her to her room.

Wait, not her room. She was sharing a room with that daredevil? No way! Since she couldn't tell Mary not to take her to Liam's room, she'd just have to wait it out till he returned. There was nothing that would make her share the room with Liam. Never.

"Ms. Marcus?" Mary, the housekeeper called and Fiona looked at her, snapping out of her reverie.

"Yes?"

"This way please," Mary said and led the way.

As Fiona followed Mary upstairs, she looked around the house, and with each passing second, her heart cut at the extravagance of the house.

From the outside, no one would've thought the house was that beautiful or luxurious but looking at the inside now, Fiona could tell that Mr. Liam Parker, was extremely rich.

If he was this rich, how come she didn't know him or why was his name not very known? Fiona mused and shook her head when she remembered she didn't actually have a social life.

Whatever she knew about social media was what her friend, Elena told her. Thinking of her, Fiona made a mental note to call her once she was settled in since she was sure Elena would be waiting for her call by now.

Fiona raised a brow when Mary led her past one of the two bedroom doors she could see in the hallway. "Is someone staying in this room?" she inquired and Mary nodded.

"Yes and no," Mary said and Fiona frowned.

"Yes and no?"

"The room is reserved for Liam's cousin. He used to live here with him until he moved," Mary said just as they stopped in front of Liam's bedroom door.

When she saw the curious frown on Fiona's face, she decided to tell her some more details about Liam and see if Fiona at least knew a thing about him.

"Liam and his cousin practically grew up together and were treated like siblings, so they're very close. Even after he moved, he still visits here often hence the reason his room was reserved for him. It's also a master's bedroom," Mary said, and Fiona nodded.

"I see."

Judging by how she was nodding her head, Mary could tell that Fiona didn't know any of this before and that made her wonder when they had met and how long they'd been together.

Was she perhaps a fling he brought home just to show to his mom? Mary mused.

"I'll leave you to go in now. I'll come get you when Patrick arrives," Mary said and waited till Fiona had stepped into the room before leaving.

Fiona's breath caught the moment she stepped into the room.

If she had thought that the living room and the overall house decor screamed luxury, then inside Liam's room had to be heaven.

Everything, from the expansive room, to the beautiful crystal chandelier that was like raindrops that hung in the room, the floor-to-ceiling glass window and the king-sized bed in the room, the gray color on the walls and cotton, the gray bedstand and vanity, the gray bed sheet and white duvet over the bed and the white rug beneath the bed.

Everything gave the room that beauty that stole Fiona's heart. The room and everything in it all screamed extravagance and elegance.

The room right in front of her was a sight she had only seen in movies but there she was, standing right inside the room.

Was he so rich? Was that why he had that aura around him? He must be thinking she was full of herself if he was this rich. Why had she not realized that he wasn't of her class from the get-go?

Fiona mused and fished out her phone from her purse when she realized it was ringing. When she saw that it was a call from her best friend, she immediately answered it.

"Lena...."

"What's wrong? Don't tell me you're still home and haven't gone for the job?" Elena chided the moment the call connected.

She knew how Fiona always overslept and seeing how Fiona hadn't called her when she was supposed to, she had just naturally assumed Fiona was still home.

"I'm there now. Sorry, I didn't call you when I was leaving the house. I was in a hurry," Fiona said and Elena shook her head as a knowing smile played on her lips.

"You're always in a hurry. So, how is it going? Have you arrived at your three-day boyfriend's house?" Elena asked, and Fiona rolled her eyes.

"He's not my boyfriend. Not in this life and never. That guy is filthy rich, Lena," Fiona said and Elena's eyes lit up immediately.

"Really? Is he hot as well? Maybe you should link us up at the end of your job?" Elena asked and Fiona sighed as she went to sit on the single couch in the room.

"That isn't my problem right now...."

"What is it? Is Aunty okay?" Elena interjected at the mention of 'problem.'

"It's not about my mom. It's everything that happened today. I don't even know how to face this Liam guy now after what happened," she said and Elena raised a brow.

"What happened? Don't tell me you went down with him!" Elena said in alarm.

"What? Of course not." Fiona said and went on to tell Elena about her encounter with Liam before they met at the agency.

"....I think him giving me his card without the pin while asking me to go shopping is just a way to rub his wealth in my face because of what I said," Fiona complained and Elena laughed.

"Maybe his driver knows his pin. Besides, I think he's cool if he really didn't call you out or hold you for any of what you said," Elena said and Fiona scoffed.

"Cool indeed. I just want to finish this job and look for a better job. I'm quite tired of running into different kinds of men especially this type of man. He even said I'll be sharing his bedroom with him for the duration of my stay here without even asking or talking to me about it," Fiona said and Elena frowned.

"Why does it sound as though this guy has eyes for you?" she asked reasonably.

"I don't think so. But even if he did, he'd just have to close it. I don't even want to run into him after this is over," Fiona said and Elena sighed.

"If that's what you want, then I suggest you take up my offer of coming over here to partner with me once Aunty is discharged," Elena said, and Fiona shook her head.

"You know me, Lena. As much as I'd love to come stay and work with you, I'd rather remain here, look for another job, and work here. Besides, I also don't think it's advisable to travel the distance with my mom right now," Fiona said, and Elena sighed.

"If you say so."

"Yeah, I do."

"So, talking about you sharing a room with him, are you sure nothing's going to happen between the both of you?" Elena asked, and Fiona shrugged.

"This isn't the first time I'm doing this job....."

"But it's the first time you're sharing a room with a hot client," Elena interjected.

"And who said he's hot?" Fiona asked with an eye roll.

"Well, you just did. I wasn't sure until you asked me that," Elena said and just then a knock sounded on the door, followed by Mary's voice, letting Fiona know that the driver had arrived.

"Got to go now, Lena. Talk to you later."

"Make sure to spend that money lavishly. This is a once-in-a-time opportu...." Fiona laughed and ended the call before Elena could finish before stepping out to leave with Patrick.
