Darren grinned and pat her head gently. "It's a good way of contacting me when necessary," he said.

Elena nodded delightfully. Her hold on him tightened and her body became relaxed, this man wasn't a threat to her and she could feel it.

She rest her little head on his chest and her hands around his back. Darren felt awkward and touch her soft silky hair then played with it.

"You should sleep," he didn't want to stress her by allowing her to cling on him. He didn't know how to tell her in a polite manner because he had never cared about anyone.

Elena nod and walk towards his king size bed and climb it without hesitation. Darren wanted to stop her but he couldn't do it. Elena peek her head out of the duvet and gestured for him to come. Darren hesitated for sometime before he shyly walk towards the bed and laid farthest from her. Elena turned and saw him lying far from her, his eyes was staring at the ceiling with many things going through his mind.

He froze when he felt a soft body on his. Looking to his side, he saw Elena staring at him. Her small head on his chest with a happy smile on her face. He held her slender waist and pulled her to his body.

"Are you okay with me? I mean, sleeping on my bed?" he ask nervously.

Elena flush in embarrassment and nod again. She snuggled closer and put her hand on his neck. She bit her lip painfully, she didn't have the voice to thank him. Darren saw the sad look on her face and patted her head, "everything is going to be alright," he encouraged her.

The next morning Elena woke up early so she could be able to see Darren before he leaves. She opened her eyes slowly and tried to lift her body but she only ended up waking Darren. His hands was holding her waist tightly. She quickly sat up and shifted from him in embarrassment but Darren didn't care, he pulled her back to the bed and turn her to face him.

A mischievous smile etched on his lips, he pressed her against his body and rest his chin on her head. "Where are you running to huh?" He questioned while feeling Elena's stiff back and shoulders.

Elena blush shyly, she slept on a man's bed with him, how could she not run away to her room. She remained silent and felt Darren inhale heavily.

After sometime, Darren finally let her go. She rush to the door but soon look back at him for help. That's because his door was different from hers. Darren grinned and walk towards the door with mischief dancing in his eyes.

Elena was confuse about his sudden behavior. When she saw him walking to the door, she stood aside and wait for him. The next seconds, he pinned her to the wall with one of his hands, Darren watch the look on her face and then a beep sound.

She sighed softly and glare a little at him with pouty lips. He almost scared her to death in that way but his hand was still blocking her from moving.

"What are you thinking Elena?" He ask with a smile on his lips. Her name roll out of his mouth sweetly.

Elena shook her head and pointed to the hand on the wall. "So silly. What should I do when you're standing at the front of the keypad." Darren ask innocently.

Elena then look behind her and saw a number keypad attached to the wall close to her back. She was the fool for thinking of something else, she pushed Darren with her tiny wrist and rush out of his room childishly.

A big smile appeared on Darren's lip's as he stare at the empty space where she was standing seconds ago.

Elena rush into her room and shut the door quickly. She made for her bed and breathlessly fall on it. Her chest rise and fell, the picture of her and Darren keep flashing inside her head.

"Young miss, are you alright?" Dora ask when she got to Elena's bed. She was heating the bath for Elena in the bathroom when she heard a loud bang outside. She ran out of the bathroom to find Elena on the bed, blushing.

After she was well dressed and clean, she lay quietly on her bed and wait for the butler to fetch her food. The door was opened and Darren was the one who came in. He kept the tray on the table and strode towards her. His hair was neatly comb and some falling on his forehead, his black well tailored suit was crisp and he look even more handsome.

Darren saw she was adoring him with her eyes, he threw her iPad on the soft bed and lean over her. "What are you gawking at?"

Elena flush and turned to the other side of the bed. "I'm leaving and will return in three days time," he said. Elena didn't react, she climb down the bed and stood aghast while staring at him deeply.

She raised three of her fingers questionably at him.

"Yes." Darren answered.

Her body shook a little at the thought that she won't see him for days, her eyes glisten and she step forward to hug him but she paused. She didn't want to crumple his neat suit.

Darren step towards her and lift her face with his thumb. "Doctor Fredrick said you lost voice and wasn't born naturally with you," he said and Elena. nod in agreement.

He pushed her hair backward and lean close to her, her small body frame wasn't that bad for Darren. Elena's heart was thumping hard against her rib cage, this man always make her heart beat faster.

"I'll wait to hear your voice one day. I'm sure you've a sweet voice," Darren said and pulled her to his body. He embraced her tightly as if she'd disappear from his vision this minute, it was not his thing but he'd do it for her. He'd make her happy.
